RPGNow / DriveThruRPG
There are several free items to be found. If Privacy is of interest you might find a free copy RuneQuest Pirates (usable with BRP and other D100).
So I'm not sure where and when might we find a copy of Pirates ?

Try this link for time:
According to this you are UTC-4 ( NJ probably because of DST)
-
That would work fine for me. You mean Saturday September 25 correct ?
I have a function to go to right after the session, so if we could start at 19:00 BST ( 2:00pm for BF and FP ) or earlier that would give me at least 3 hours before I would have to quit.
-
For me I think unless we play in the evening my time ( which is unrealistic for everyone else ) the Saturday or Sunday, every couple of weeks would be doable. The time works well for me.
I know I would be pushing it to ask for 4 hours every weekend. With a wife and two small kids it just won't fly.

I'm sorry I couldn't make it, like I mentioned, my sister was in town so it wasn't in the cards.
You guys having a problem with it crashing a lot as well? The last session I ran we had the program crash 5 or 6 times. The main reason I was so excited to play with you guys was to see if it was something we're doing that's causing the crashes. Guess not.
I think the program only crashed once if I remember correctly (during the Sat session). We had technical issues not related to FG.
First of all BF made a time zone calculation error so 3 of us were extra early. I was too lazy to double check. And it worked out for the best.
Then we were waiting for someone to join us but they weren't able to.
Then we hooked up on Skype and I didn't realize my mic was set to minimum, so I kept fading in and out.
BF's computer turned his mic volume off, by itself a couple of times.
Our GM forgot he had muted his mic and was giving us a really good description of the surrounding that we couldn't hear.
The computer that FlowerPower was using is a bit old and it crashed a couple of times so I think we has to reset the server.
One of the players disappeared for a while and came back but then had to drop out.
But overall I thought the performance of FG was great and Skype really helped. It was bloody easy to figure out the program and the guys were able to correct me any time I did something wrong.

Thanks a lot Phil, it was fun. Neat to see how the program works and gave us a good chance to "slaughter us some turtles". Nice to get a chance to Skype with everyone else and put a voice to a avatar.
Sorry that BF and FP kept crashing your server, I'll see if I can straighten them out for next time.
-
I'm fairly sure it is type, but was testing the waters with the possibility of Skype as an option. I should really download it and try it before I open my mouth.
-
I'll be there, and could be there early to test things out and chat if anyone is interested. Is anyone into Skype for OOC bonus conversations ?
I'll also try not to wreck too much this time.
I'm still eager to use Merrek. If we don't have enough PCs will someone run more than one character. I was wondering if we don't have someone to use the sorceror or MU maybe they could be community characters. One person runs them but with input from the others.
-
So now I see that currently 4 of the top 11 best selling small press items are the Gloranthan Classics publications. What were you waiting for Rick ??
-
Feel free to select your PC, don't select any others as you lock them to your logon.
Sorry, I didn't read this last sentence. I guess I activated all of the characters except for Dural.
I plan on using Merrek

Something similiar happened to me. I got a long list of errors stating that files did not load correctly. The program them terminated. I restarted it and only got one error and it now seems to work fine. The second time I also updated the program. I wonder if that is a problem.
-
That should work out fine. Gives me an excuse not to go to a kids bd party

You need to join the Yahoo group to get the inside scoop and previews of CFII :

The VTTs are sounding better all the time.
We are having a test run game using Fantasy Grounds II this weekend, the nice thing is you don't have to buy the program because the GM has an Ultimate license.
Check out the thread:

That is good for me too. I just have to choose a character.
Hey BF I thought you weren't back til Weds ??? Hope you didn't get rained out
So when will the server be up to test things out ?

There was a thread here on this forum that discussed some of the VTT or VGTs:

I think the best news is that you have the rights to publish them in a pdf format. This means we don't have to run to purchase them because they will available in pdf in the future, and we have a place to direct future players and GMs. Of course if you want a print copy you should probably run in Rick's direction.
As far as the cost, I have hard copies of all 4 books and would seriously consider the package deal for the pdfs. I think the time it would take me to scan my books is worth more than the $15 it would cost for the pdfs ( hopefully a better quality too ). It also saves wear and tear on the books. I find it awfully handy to have the pdfs on my laptop for reference.
-
So are you thinking of running one session on the 4th or 5th or one session on each day ?
I do have pdfs of each character btw.
-
This weekend is basically over, I'm camping next weekend but the following one might work
-
Have you got a weekend in mind ?
-
The volumes are still available as pdfs.
