  1. Hands you both Rapiers, points at the dawn and sighs....
  2. Yeah I read it, but it didn't inspire me really. I also like to hear what other people think, that's why I post here.
  3. What can my players expect to find at the Painted wall?
  4. https://www.the-saleroom.com/en-us/auction-catalogues/timeline-auctions-limited/catalogue-id-srtime10045/lot-40dbe146-5a20-447d-a611-a5df00a95e75 A Trojan rapier 12-10th century BC.
  5. So he would be found living in the Bison Grazelands by Tada's high tumulus?
  6. Man needs a healing 6...
  7. http://www.princeofsartar.com/comic/88-the-cradles-defenses/
  8. Yeah, I really hoped I'd get this one for xmas. Will just wait until it's general release now.
  9. Yeah, can't really use Amazon as an example. Until recently they were sending everything to me in Finland for free, even now it's still peanuts.
  10. One of the pcs in my current RQ game is a Rhino rider trader, his Pavic mother runs a caravan between the city and Sartar, which his father had been a guard on. He has some interesting stuff on his spare Rhino, taken/traded from looted places and folk the group have come across during their travels.
  11. I dont think anywhere. It's is made from whatever you want. Boot wood, Cradle wood, original Green Age oak.
  12. Yeah my pcs' have swapped their Bison and Rhino for Zebras. Well almost all of them, those who haven't will be staying in Badside or walking in!
  13. After Moonbroth how will members of the Bison tribe and Impala tribe get treated by the Lunars if visiting New Pavis. For that matter how do they get treated by the inhabitants anyway? Would they get turned away at the gates? Certainly treated rough.
  14. This really just comes down to a difference of gaming styles and not rules. I have never been a fan of intricate design but can certainly respect those who want the world to work in detail. I love threads like this and now have incorporated the cradle wood into my campaign. I think some will have magical properties...
  15. I think this is awesome and highly likely. In my Pavis this wood would never rot.
  16. The Heroquest games i play are no different to my Runequest games, gritty and dealing with raiding tombs, fighting broo and stealing loot. My present RQ game has more heroquests happening than HQ2. You have me way wrong Darius I think there are a lot of misconceptions about what the Heroquest rules are about and how they can be used. We should start a thread... But yeah a bit off topic so back on it.
  17. On earth maybe, but Glorantha isnt earth.
  18. I think the elves and dwarves get on fine in Pavis. Flintnails kids are part elf. They probably dont hang out but they were all part of the original city.
  19. They probably come down the same way the cradle does.
  20. The River Horses provide magic to move quickly along the river from the headwaters if i remember rightly. Perhaps they can help.
  21. Scaffold if Bronze will still be around to use as would timber made ones. The wood won't be rotting thanks to the climate and there's heaps of magic around to make sure it stays good...RQ repair spells, sorcery and in Heroquest you just make something up: a charm that suits, or the use of a rune etc etc. Using your Stasis rune in HQ is far easier than your one use rune spell.... People all to often overlook the magic that is everywhere and concentrate far to much on our world for why things do or don't work. It might sound hand wavy but hey so what it is Glorantha. Opilli worshippers/human masons would have the building malarky down pat by now. Plus there's plenty of ancestors and other helpful spirits to help. Importing bamboo and growing it locally would solve many problems. Something your Larkanos merchants can organise with their Pelorian settlers. Saplings that provide the 3 to 6m poles needed for spears, lances and pikes would grow in abundance along the river. The Sun Domers would coppice these and I'm sure settlers would get in on the market. Perhaps nomads take them as raid tribute from river for or have oasis folk coppicing them. Don't forget Arrow bushes.
  22. Forgot to mention that there is lots of Cypress in the Zola Fel valley. Water resistant and good for building and furnishings. Plus the Pamaltean Agimori have a special tree they use for spears. Perhaps these are in Prax now too?
