Multiple Initiations Rulebook vs. Character Sheet

RQG p274 makes it pretty clear that you can only be an initiate or higher in a single cult. However the Character Sheet has a place for a second cult. The rules also talk about sacrificing POW for rune points in multiple cults. Can you be an initiate in multiple cults at once without having a Spirit of Retribution hunting you down?

don't see any restriction p274. Just read p275 to have the answer 🙂

Membership in Multiple Cults

It is possible for an adventurer to be an initiate of more than one cult. They must pass the appropriate tests, and this always requires that the cults be compatible. They must also tithe to each temple, and perform properly and completely all duties and responsibilities to each temple

Adventurers may join a second cult, provided the cults are compatible (see  Membership in Multiple Cults, page 375).

Yes

Yes, but usually two is a maximum.

There's one example in our publications:

GM Screen Pack, Sora Goodseller, Priestess of Issaries, Initiate of Yelmalio, page 28

p.274:

Initiation into a cult is a serious step, for individuals
thereby pledge themselves to the focus of a single divine
entity...

Yeah, I can see how that heavily implies "only one". It is a little over-stated in that sentence. What it means is, rather than being a worshipper of a general pantheon and going along to the appropriate ceremonies most of the time, you choose a deity in that pantheon. As it says on the next page, some people choose two rather than just one.
