I would use ambiguities like that to slot in a campaign-specific encounter. When I ran a heroquest, there was a worm in the original myth. This became the zombie of the dragon that they had defeated in the previous scenario. Have they fought Krashtkids recently? Trolls? Scorpion folk? Anything else known for consuming things? That's what I would look for to put in that place.

To me, "gooh .. gooh ... vaaaaarrrrrrr" sounds pretty much onomapoetic.

Sounds like you're implying that some kind of giant baby monster put the Lightbringers into its mouth to taste them, and Eurmal made it gag them up again.

That's just crazy enough to be a real Eurmal story.

My implication was a thoroughly inebriated individual of undefined age, but yes, baby language applies to that situation, too. The "goohs" are meant to be gagging sounds (hence the pauses).

Scratches head questioning whether this is praise or damnation.
