    I created this file for Gamestorm in Portland in April, but I just realized that it might come in handy for others running Call of Cthulhu for new players (and new Keepers). It's basically just the rules from the corebook simplified into a single sheet for quick reference. I put it up on a display stand in front of my Keeper Screen so that everyone who sat down at the table could see it, especially when they were losing sanity through the convention adventures.

  5. CoC Military Background for PCs

    This is historical military WW1 unit information for those PCs who chose a soldier/sailor veteran background. All AEF divisions and most US Naval ships in theater are listed. It will provide the historical unit detail so one can say, “I was in H Company, 2nd Battalion, 104th Infantry Regiment in the 26th Infantry Division and fought at Chateau-Thierry and Soissons”. (GMs can also use it for NPC backgrounds).
    My goal is to make it easy for a player to flesh out a historical military background. And to provide anchor bits of information the players can use to research more if they wish.

  11. Despotic Cthulhu Dark Ages House Rules

    These are the house rules for my play-by-post game of Cthulhu Dark Ages.

    The document provides enough information to allow a player to create a character, but not enough to run a game without the official rules. It includes quite a few changes that I intend to adopt in order to better suit my own preferences.

    Feedback is appreciated.

    Since it was first posted here, I have updated the document, adding a list of recommended adventure novels, and some historical information about the setting for my game: Croatia in 952AD. I also clarified rules about heritage and Cthulhu mythos skill. Most recent update: 23 August 2008.
