  1. What time zone determines when this will be available? 😄
  2. I just realised the extra benefit of this, cause, filtering on language on DriveThruRPG isn't always great. Lots of stuff in languages other than english pops up, even though I specify I want stuff in english. So the spreadsheet is actually good.
  3. Thank's for the recommendation. I enjoyed it! And while I was reading it I realised I used the spell all wrong when we played the other day. But, I mean, consistency in the world of horror ... eh.. It'll be fine 😄
  4. I tried to find it, while we are playing None More Black, the question came up, what would be the possible range between caster and target of "Call the Black"?
  5. Oh, for sure, I was thinking of those that are listed in the book. I guess my rephrased question would be if the starting experience that is listed, counts, wether the skill is on the character sheet or not? Which I thought would be the case, and which seems to be the case.
  6. In the Keeper Rulebook, skill list, page 56, it says for some of the skills: "denotes an uncommon skill not written on the standard investigator sheet". That makes sense, the choice seems appropriate both in that people would most likely not have them, and they are probably not used that often. But, my question is, if I were to call out one of them, even if the investigator did not have it on their sheet, would the start value be that of the skill? I see that most of them have a 1% start value, so not a big deal, but *Animal Handling* has a 5% start value. Would 5% then be the appropriate value for the skill, also for investigators not having the skill on their sheet?
  7. Were any of these titles kickstarted titles? And will that have affected the sale, maybe?
  8. How about they meet a villain that is protected by some spell, that throws any damage back at the investigators? They'll probably consider new options real quick.
  9. Do you mean like the stats on page 404 and 405 in the Keeper Rulebook?
  10. it would be that 00 0 on the dice was a critical success, and 99 was the highest number, so that getting a double Elder Sign on my official Call of Cthulhu dice would mean success, and not a fumble! PS: This is not a real complaint, it doesn't really bother me, I am not losing THAT many sanity points over it. This is meant to be a light hearted post.
  11. Got this yesterday. Very nice work. I was planning on getting it earlier, but I had to wait for the GM's day sale to pass, as I felt getting a discount on something that cost $1 was a bit silly.
  12. I recently discovered this artist on Bandcamp, which has really good mood music, though. On of the albums is called The Haunting. https://gplowman.bandcamp.com/
  13. I found these, when I went looking previously https://www.reddit.com/r/callofcthulhu/comments/eseqfk/extended_tables_for_bouts_of_madness/
  14. This might be more of a wish in general, rather than just for the 40th, but, I would really like to se a bigger collection of artifacts and alien devices. Edit: I see that this is a bit off topic. Sorry.
  15. I got mine a few weeks ago, and I just love them. But, could there be any comment on why some of the monsters didn't make the cut from the previous Malleus Monstrorum? I only god to page 14, when I looked in the old one, to find one that isn't in the new edition, the Adumbrali. And I am sure there are more examples, but I just peeked at the (old) book in a store, so couldn't cross reference everything.
  16. As a person who recently (less than a year ago) bouth the 7e slipcase set, I am hopeing there will be something that both celebrates the 40th, and can supplement the books I already have, since I am not really going to be wanting a new set of core books anytime soon. I would love to see a nice walkthough and overview of all the rule changes that has happened through the history of the game, though.
  17. Get a plain one, print out some awesome mythos related art, get glue, and suddenly you'll have a unique one that is at least as awesome!
  18. Werewolf is also listed in the Keeper Rulebook, and Malleus Monstrorum
  19. Is there anyone who know what it would take for a character to learn how to make the protective symbols that Marion Allan had made on the farm house and chest in Edge of Darkness? I guess it would be some sort of spell, in a way? I don't know how the state of mind was on Allan after making them around the farm house, but it doesn't feel like something that had the potential of driving someone into a bout of madness while making. And not too draining on the person. I have not made any spells myself yet, so I don't feel confident coming up with something all by myself either. And it also feels like this would be something there already was some good things written about.
  20. Would there be any instances where any kind of creature or monster would work with humans (players)? Could a serpent-person ask humans for anything, ever? Or will such thing never occur? Are there any scenarios where there are any co-operation?
  21. I'm very curious to see what the rules were for this. Please enlighten those of us that are fresh to the rules, if you find out how that worked?
  22. Haha, and now I see that "Eddie" is 37, referring to his sister "Wendy" as a significant person And "Wendy" is 25, calling "Eddie" her twin brother.
  23. And as I continued through the list of characters, I see that many of them have the exact same three posessions, which seem odd, as they don't really match their personality, and weapons list. I think I'll probably just adjust the posessions list to match the weapons.
  24. I am considering running Missed Dues with pregens in a few days, and I am looking through it. But one of the character stumbles me. It might be my lack of weapon-knowlege, but at page 79, "Sean 'Hopeful' Doyle" has an increased skill in handgun, on the weapons list he has a ".22 Short Auto", but in the possession on the next page he has "12g Shotgun" I do not know what a ".22 Short Auto" is, so it is a bit confusing, both that I can't seem to match up possessions with what is in the Weapons-table, and not with skill. I have also seen this in other pregens in other scenarios, where posessions and weapons-list doesn't seem to add up. Any suggestions?
  25. So, after a couple of delays, I finally got to wrap up this scenario last night. I had planned to just make a short thing by having my investigators crawl back down into the tunnles, find that the portals were gone, and they got deeper down into the underground. Get scared by a bunch of serpent-people, and then just, be blocked out of the tunnels for good. What happened was that half the session was spent on a discussion among the players, on what should go in the report, and how they could procure the propert above one of the portals, and maybe use the portals to make money off of transport of goods over a large distance. They also finally did some digging into the owner of the houses, and when they found out that the same person that gave them the mission also owned more than one of them, they got a little suspicious. Then they spent a ton of time trying to figure out the glass disc, which I had sadly made some mistakes on, but they had fun trying to figure it out anyway. And with some hints, they enjoyed it. They then ventured down into the caves. As they got down there, deeper down, they came into a room, where a bunch of serpent people were carrying parts of the disassembled portals through a different portal. To move it out of the area. One of the investigators decided, still, they were all undetected, and they all passed the sanity roll, that he would take a photograph of what they saw. A camera has never clicked so loud. The startled serpent-people hissed at the intruders, a few more got back in through the portal. The photographer decided to run, while two others decided to lift their shotguns. Then, two more serpent-people phased in, one of the investigators failed the sanity roll, dropped his shotgun, lost 6 points, then succeded on intelligence, went temporarily insane, gaining a phobia of snakes, and started running. The other gunman squeezed off two shots, missed, then turned to run, while signalling his brother, who was about to pick up the dropped gun, to also run. When the last investigator, having picked up the gun, was facing the serpents, one of them spray Domination serum in his face, commanding him do get away from them, so he also ran. And while they all were running back out of the caves, they were exploded behind them. They later found a book in the library called "The betrayal of the serpent people", written by a man called David Isaksen, some 110 years prior. Describing encounters and living amongs serpent-people untill they got rid of him. The publisher noted that this was all probably just some story to scare people. Anyway, I could have made it a lot more dangerous, but I wanted to have them all come out alive, as I want most of them to be part of a longer campaign. But again, we had fun.
