  5. p. 153, The Enemies/Weaknesses box should read "who dislike Connor and his church." (not Parker). pg. 155, in the Structure box, the first name should be spelled "Devan" to match the rest of the sheet.
  6. Per this press announcement below from Chaosium, it sounds like it is included. https://www.chaosium.com/blogchaosium-acquires-cubicle-7s-cthulhu-britannica-and-world-war-cthulhu-lines/
  7. For those of you who keep up with such things, Ben has been nominated for a Hugo Award for Best Series. Congratulations, Ben! https://www.thehugoawards.org/hugo-history/2023-hugo-awards/ Given the love for life and respect for diversity that comes across so clearly in Ben's writing, it's a shame that the year that he finally gets this well-deserved recognition, the convention is being held in such a problematic location regarding both of those issues: China. Several nominees have already spoken out regarding the location and the organization itself. For coverage of some of the protests, check out Mike Glyer's blog: https://file770.com/
  8. Think of "Temporary Insanity" as a state (like "shaken" or "prone") that goes away after those conditions are met. You are "sane" again, but those Sanity points are gone forever.
  9. Per a quick Google search: Mace came along in the late 1960s. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mace_(spray) According to this website, peppers have been weaponized since ancient times by throwing bits into eyes and burning them, but the first successful attempt to create a portable aerosol form of capsaicin was in the early 1960s. https://www.zarc.com/t-pepper-spray-history
  10. While I got off the Early Adopter Train quite awhile back, I decided to go ahead and take the plunge on this one. So far, it does seem like it would really speed up rules searches especially during online games, and all of the answers about CoC and RoL have been accurate. I tried asking it to generate a 1000-word CoC scenario idea for me, and the output was definitely interesting (in the good sense of the word) and playable, which got me to thinking about the No AI policy in the Miskatonic Repository. The current policy only mentions art; it doesn't mention text. However, I did see in another thread where Jason D said that will be discouraging MR creators from AI generated "art and/or text." If we were to generate a scenario idea using this Chaosium-licensed AI, at what point would we be in violation of that policy? Are we allowed to use that idea at all for a MR scenario? Would the fact that it's from a licensed source (rather than ChatGPT) make a difference?
  11. A ringing endorsement from the US' largest association for lawyers agency. I may just have to play a lawyer in my next game.
  12. "The Unsealed Room" from Secrets by Brian Sammons would be pretty easy. It's already set in the '90's.
  13. I apologize. Yes, I am still getting Ab Chaos. I mistakenly assumed you were talking about the other newsletter. Sorry for the confusion and to for prolonging the derailment.
