Congratulations to Lynne Hardy, who has been shortlisted for 'Designer of the Year' in the inaugural Tabletop Awards. In 2022, Lynne has been project lead on two high profile Chaosium releases - Regency Cthulhu and Rivers of London. And in 2021, her epic campaign The Children of Fear received critical acclaim, being considered to be “alongside Masks of Nyarlathotep and Horror on the Orient Express as one of the greats of Call of Cthulhu". You may know James Coquillat as a familiar face from our Twitch and YouTube channel's Stream of Chaos actual play and as the host of the Chaosium Interviews series. James has been part of our Digital Content team since mid-2018, and now we are pleased to announce he is taking on an additional role as Assistant Editor for Call of Cthulhu, working with Mike Mason, Lynne Hardy and Keris McDonald. James studied screenwriting at the University of Melbourne, Australia. He moved into TTRPGs from the video game industry, where he worked on games like Armello by League of Geeks and Ring of Pain by Twice Different. A native speaker of French, his TTRPG credits include Call of Cthulhu's ENNIE award-winning Reign of Terror. After a misspent youth learning to juggle flaming torches, James says he is happy to finally be in a nice, normal profession like tabletop game design.

In its course, the investigators will be inquiring into the sabotage of the Lynden, one of the three enormous steam-powered pumping mills that were constructed on the shores of the lake to facilitate its drainage. Soon they discover that the sabotage is just one of a series of strange happenings that surround the emptying lake. Though set in the Netherlands, the scenario itself is written in English. For the Love Of... Jon Hook ($3.00, 24 page PDF) You and your companions are recognized as local experts in things strange and unusual, which is why Dective Harden has asked you and your team to consult on the murder of Arkham socialite, Eugene Saltonstall. For the crime scene defies all resonable explanation, and is more aptly described as something strange and unusual. Drained of blood and torn to pieces, the murder of Eugene Saltonstall is something the Arkham Police Department is not trained to understand and unprepared to handle. You have been present garrisoning the island and base for over two years. The war rages on but you have had no contact with the fleet or Japan for over sixteen months. You continue to follow orders and guard against the American forces. There is plenty of food and fresh water and the climate, well you are used to it. Another day dawns and you gather as a group over breakfast to receive your orders. Hocus Pocus Adam Gauntlett ($4.00, 22 page PDF) Famous Harlem stage magician Benjamin Rucker needs your help. A rival, the self-styled King of the Cats, has a new routine and it's cutting into Rucker's bottom line. Just what is that mummy-thing the King has on display? Why does it seem to move under its own power? This scenario pits the investigators against minions of an Outer God, and all of New York may be forfeit if they fail. The King of the Cats thinks he has his Children of the Sphynx under his control, but the Children have their own instructions. Long-standing Chaosium team member Nick Nacario has been promoted to the role of Production Coordinator, Chaosium president Rick Meints announced today. "Nick's core responsibilities will center around scheduling and coordinating the creation of all products from the layout phase through to the printing phase. He’ll be working with the graphics team in particular, but also our line editors and art directors," said Rick Meints. Nick has been involved with Chaosium since he was around 10 years old. His earliest “credits” for the company include playtesting Dragon Lords of Melnibone and the BRP 'Big Gold Book'. Nick began working for Chaosium in 2008, initially doing shipping and data entry, but from late 2011 has worked on layout for the Call of Cthulhu roleplaying game line. He has been involved in the production of almost every Chaosium Call of Cthulhu publication ever since. Nick's work on the Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition Slipcase Set won a Gold Ennie Award in 2017.
