Oops. But noncanonical? Surely not!
OTOH there do seem to be several living South American marsupials.

Surely everyone remembers the illustration of the Praxian Kangaroo Tribe in Tales of the Reaching Moon issue 1. They must be giant kangaroos, as the tribesman is shown riding in a the kangaroo’s pouch.

I just noticed that in Investigators Weapons vol.2 the .357 Magnum is listed as causing 1d8+1d6 damage as opposed to the CoC rules where it is listed as causing 1d8+1d4 damage. Was this a deliberate change, or a mistake?

If she should ever appear in my Glorantha, Yolanela the Taloned Countess will be based on Carol Burnett’s portrayal of Nora Desmond. She is suspected (pretty much known, actually) to have killed several husbands, not just one, as well as many chance passersby.
P.S. She is always accompanied by her bald manservant, Maximus, of course.

Off the top of my head:
The Seleric Wars. A decades long campaign against the nearest Glorantha has ever come to Dark Lord.
The founding of the Kingdom of Sartar.

Our new licence didn't grandfather exisiting 6e publications so Sixtystone had to withdraw it from sale. It now is being updated to cover 7e. It should reappear early next year.
Will this be done with the other volumes in the series?

Very shiny indeed!
I'm still hoping they get around to rereleasing a POD of volume 1...It doesn’t seem to be on Drivethru even as a PDF. Does anyone know why? Oddly, it is available from Steve Jackson Games, despite not being for GURPS.

RQG tried to streamline the runes, so the ones outside the basic structure (apart from Chaos) didn't get a place. You can see this in Lhankor Mhy as well, going from Law to Stasis as second rune.
I’m cringing again. I can understand the leaving out the others, as they are just minor modifications of other Runes, but Law and Communication seem pretty important. Does anyone know why they were dropped.

I cringed a bit on discovering the Trade Rune's removal from RQG, and I'm hoping that Questworld's Glorantha will not follow suit.

RQ3 was the pinnacle of BRP weapon design. Crushing weapons halved the AP of flexible armour,
Did they? I don’t remember this. Do you have a citation?

Of course you could then just wait until Chaosium runs out of them then re-sell on eBay or some other venue and likely recoup most of your loss, or even make a small profit.

It's a pity it's not available in the UK or EU webstore. I would gladly buy the book, but not with $55 shipping fee.
There’s one on EBay Uk,
I also recall that it was on Chaosium fro the UK warehouse a couple of months ago, so you might keep an eye out there.

In case anyone is interested Chaosium currently has the big gold book softcover available from the US warehouse.

Is that from the RQ3 Dorastor book? If so, I’ll have to check my copy.

No, just use them from RQ2 and they should be good.
I was hoping for RQ stats for the rainbow snake variety described in Anaxial’s Roster.
Actually, my longer term goal is to create a Chaos cult and deity centered on these critters.

Nope. They were pretty much a silly rules construction. There are diamondback rattlesnakes and pythons though!
I realize that they’re a gimmick, but heck, if we can have Pulp Cthulhu, we can have pulp Glorantha!

Are the stats for Chaos Snakes given anywhere in the new rules?
-
Your player characters caused it, of course. Obvious, really.

Has anyone used duck or flamingo scorpionmen? Wack wack wack... or do you prefer quack quack? I see chaos strange things happening as any scorpion queen tries different breading programs?
I’m trying to figure out whether or not that was a typo.🙂

Delays are near universal in this industry. Don’t give up hope.

Don't hold your breath. QW is as close as unsupported as a game line can be. RQ sells good, so it gets the attention.
Well, it’s not actually out yet.

Agreed that a pistol is what you use if you can't use a longarm of some sort. I do wonder if the CoC damages accurately reflect real-world effects, As a Keeper I'd probably take a page from Trail of Cthulhu and divide pistols into small, medium and large without trying to model each individual caliber.

On a bit of an aside, I've begun to feel the attempts to differentiate the three systems through rules aren't really needed anymore, and would like if any genre pack in the future softened or outright did away with them except as flavor (which of course is almost as strong as mechanics in QW). Who cares if "Thunderbolt of Heaven" is a feat broken out from a rune, a charm, or a spell broken out from a grimoire - it's an ability, put it where you want and use it how you think it should be used. Magic is magic.
Agreed, and the subject of a previous thread.

OGL's effect on RQ sales
in RuneQuest
Posted · Edited by Mark Mohrfield
Given the general response to Wizards of the Coast's new OGL, is possible that RQ could regain its ancient status as the second most popular frpg? First place being too much to hope for, IMO.
Edit: I should have mentioned that I include Pathfinder being part of D&D.
