  1. Thanks! The PDF is free - the print version is $5
  2. We're hoping A Clockwork of Orange will be written by Christmas - I'll leak some previews at some point
  3. They are closer to the adventure seeds in Dark Streets - they are separated into three sections; Background, Investigation and Games Master notes (each scenario is between 1-2 pages long).
  4. Five Points is a game of urban horror in America’s first melting pot, the Five Points neighborhood of New York City. Set in the 1840's and 50's against a backdrop of the Cthulhu Mythos, Five Points is powered by Dark Streets from Cakebread & Walton. Players take on the roles of runners or advisors for the Bowery Street Runners, an homage to the Bow Street Runners from London’s past, fighting against the terrors of the night. Can you stop them before the stars are right? Five Points includes: A detailed historical look at New York City’s Five Points neighborhood during the 19th century. Organizations straight from history. Character creation for Bowery Runners. Setting information for running Five Points games. A collection of adventure frames. … and more! Five Points is not a standalone book. It requires use of the Dark Streets core rulebook available from Cakebread & Walton. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/195092/Five-Points-Dark-Streets
  5. Rolling Thunder is now in print. Rolling Thunder is a fanzine dedicated to the games of Cakebread & Walton and it's available for the princely sum of $5. Issue #1 contains all new material for Abney Park's Airship Pirates, Pirates & Dragons, Dark Streets, OneDice WW1, OneDice Universal, and more. Grab a copy here: http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/188700/Rolling-Thunder?src=newest :
  6. As pondered and noted (but not released), Cromwell's fate is not certain (if we ever find the time to move the story on, his future will depend on the actions of Adventurers and events in part VI of the campaign), so feel free to interpret his future as you like! Btw, as tempting as the "Cromwell Tank" pun is, we have another use of a similar pun in mind instead (Do you have the Telepathy Feat?)
  7. Yep - I'd love to do a setting which includes write ups for Neri, Villa, Zapata and co.
  8. Also, please consider reviewing Rolling Thunder if you download it. Like with all our work, positive reviews always make a difference!
  9. Issue #1 of Rolling Thunder is out now! Rolling Thunder is a brand new magazine, by the fans, for the fans, of Cakebread & Walton's role-playing games. Issue #1 contains all new material for Abney Park's Airship Pirates, Pirates & Dragons, Dark Streets, OneDice WW1 and OneDice Universal. What's more, the PDF is completely FREE! Download it now! There will be a POD print version to follow - and the editor's contact details, for anyone who fancies contributing to a future issue, are in the mag. Articles large and small, your C&W related doodles, your tales from the table, questions or letters, are all welcome. http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/188700/Rolling-Thunder?src=newest
  10. No, there is no limit, as written. But I don't see a problem in using INT+POW - in a game with a lot of downtime, it would mean that once it was time to go adventuring again the party wouldn't need a wagon to move a whole heap of low point stones.
  11. Hi Folks, For those of you have been waiting so patiently... London, 1749: A city of vice, crime and misery. Gangs of ruffians rule the streets, unopposed. Brothels proliferate. Child-beggars starve in filthy gutters. Corrupt night-watchmen and thief-takers turn a blind eye to wrong-doing. And dark creatures lurk in back alleys, called from beyond by the desperate with nothing left to lose. But there is a new force on the streets of London; for the author and magistrate Henry Fielding has teamed up with his brother John to form the city’s first police force – the Bow Street Runners. The Fieldings have persuaded parliament to fund their crime-fighting endeavour, but they know that there is something behind the vice – for John Fielding’s blind eyes can see things that others cannot – things that man was not meant to know. Dark Streets 2nd edition, a standalone RPG, has been available from your local games store, and from Studio 2 Publishing for a couple of weeks, but for those of you who want a copy from the Cakebread & Walton shop on Drivethru, it's now available... http://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/156813/Dark-Streets-2nd-Edition--Core-Rulebook
  12. At present we aren't on the Bricks & Mortar scheme, because Studio 2 don't do it and it seems C7 have stopped it for any of their C&W stock in the shops (I assume, they are part of the scheme, or at least were when we were with them). It seems we might be able to offer it again, if we sign up as Cakebread & Walton, but it still might not work as I guess the retailer would normally have the relationship with the publisher/distributor directly providing them with the books. Obviously any print items purchased direct from us on Drivethru still come with the free PDF deal. I'll keep you posted if things change.
  13. An interview that Brett did with us, for those interested in such things: http://www.pigames.net/store/blog.php?entry=2461
  14. You'll have to ask Leisure Games - but they have always been very supportive of our work and I can't see why they wouldn't be able to order the book as it is on general release.
  15. I don't think there will be much difference, no - they are not the same upload, but they are the same file - I can't be 100% about the print decision Studio 2 made (it'll no doubt depend on how many they think they can sell) - I'll ask them. I haven't seen the store version, but it is listed as out now. Ours won't be too long - basically, we decided not to release it ahead of Studio 2 out of courtesy - we still haven't got proofs back, as long as our proofs are good, we'll add it to Drivethru (usually takes about 10 days). Sorry for the delay!!!
  16. Hi, It hits stores on the 8th of Feb and then we'll be putting it up on Drivethru too (though we'll have to wait for our own proofs back first).
  17. Yes, I noticed it was in the latest Studio 2 trade press release for pre-orders, so it should be hitting the shops soon (and, once it does, we'll stick it up on Drivethru too).
  18. I'll check with Studio 2 - they have the print files and it was solicited for a release around about now.
  19. Apologies for the delay in responding - I've been on holiday (and returned home to power cuts and flooding! I sense occult forces at work, as it has been the worst rainfall in Lancaster for 1000 years or somesuch drivel). Anyhoo, the CotMP should slip in to a DS campaign as either an away mission for the Adventurers or as the beginnings of a campaign in its own right - but as it stands, Part Two of the Terror of the Toad is not complete.
  20. Yes - this link is for the PDF. Studio 2 will handle pre-orders.
  21. Hi Jack, The Renaissance SRD is OGL (and available for free), Dark Streets is copyright Cakebread & Walton. Yes, you should be able to get the book from Leisure Games once Studio 2 have released it (and be sure to leave Studio 2 a note when buying, and they'll let us know you have purchased a copy, and we'll send the PDF for free). I find the map works brilliantly as a PDF - but I am not the tech person (Ken does that!), so if anyone else has any issues/nice things to say about the maps, fire away Cheers, peter
  22. Thanks, Mysterioso It should be in the stores by Christmas - Studio 2 will be distributing to FLGS, and we'll have it up on Drivethru. The maps haven't changed, so the older PDFs will work fine.
