  1. They should make a good GM screen that includes all the relevant tables and bundle it with the hardback. Could sell alot of books that way.
  2. Rubble & Ruin,in my opinion is one of the best PA supplements to come out in along time.And im a huge fan of the genre,if its post apoc ive read it ,watched it ,or played it.
  3. Here is an idea that just struck me to encourage your players to put a little more effort into RolePlaying their characters. The BRP rulebook includes the option Fate Points on page 176. This option allows characters to influence dice rolls, ignore damage etc. Have your players define a small set of “personality traits” or “motivations” for their characters. Whenever the players role-play these traits well enough in game, you could reward them for good roleplaying by allotting them a few Fate Points. Therefore, the character that had cowardice as a motivation would get a few points for running away from danger, or acting like a coward in a tough situation. if a player had overconfident or cocky he might get some points for getting himself into a jam, or talking tough to someone he shouldn’t. This would also appeal to players who desire power in the game world, because having a bit of control over critical rolls is power. I would also suggest just decoupling fate points from power points as the rule is written. Just make Fate Points a standalone characteristic for the purposes of roleplay reward.
  4. Yes, a character can spend points from his "personal point pool" on any skill he wants (including Professional skills).Just remember that skills cap at 75% for a "normal" game and 90% for a "heroic" game.

  7. Yes there are robots/Cyborgs...there is a "machine" race written up,but havent decided whether or not to include them. There is an Amphibious species.
  8. Thats the way i would most likely handle it.If to many Difficult penalties arose, i might just say its Impossible,and give them a 01% chance.
  9. I am hesitant to give a submission date because everything about this project has taken twice as long to complete as I had originally anticipated. Weapons section... check, equipment & vehicles section... check, enemies’ list... check. NPC write-ups... check, Maps check, interior art & cover art... check, chapters one, two, three, four five, six... check. That leaves the last couple of chapters, we are doing layout on the finished sections while I complete the final chapters. We are still fleshing out the “new species” section of the book, so if there is a particular type of alien you would like to see included, speak up now.
  10. I used to run a fantasy campaign with a group of players that were only concerned with increasing their power. They didn’t care about role-playing at all. They only wanted to fight and kill bad guys and collect more and more power. So I introduced an overpowered Cyclops NPC who would show up all the time and say, “You want power? I’ll show you TRUE power!” and then stomp the hell out of them and leave. Nah, I didn’t really do that. I seriously think that introducing some more meaningful NPC’s might be the answer. People that the characters care about, feel sorry for, or truly hate, but can’t kill…at least not initially. Then again, killing things and collecting better gear is just some peoples play style, that is what they like. Many players I have gamed with like CONSTANT hack & slash action, and action usually involves combat and dangerous scenarios. And if they weren’t presented with these, they would create their own, like the killing random villagers thing mentioned earlier. I had a player who stole stuff and picked fights every chance he got, the guards would come, he would fight then run away, get arrested; throw the whole “planned” adventure off course. One technique is to put the players into situations that will get them killed if they insist on action and make role-playing the “only” recourse. Allegiance system is another option. Making the setting grittier is another good idea. Are your players making their characters “evil, murder, hack & slash types” or are they just primarily concerned with accumulating power and min-maxing?

Every time i have ordered something from them they are really slow,i have 2 monographs i ordered on the 7th.....still not here....and it says processing order on order status alot even after its shipped.I have recieved items in the mail and when i checked my chaosium account it still said the order is being processed....i dont think they have more than one guy working in their mailroom anyway.

Im not sure yet,the main adventure will be about 6 chapters maybe more.there are side missions that could make up to another6-7 chapters worth of material.30 pretty detailed races,some of which have multiple forms.Then theres equipment,area maps,the ulysses mapped out...its 4 levels of starfreightor.im thinking somewhere around 100 pages atleast...Maybe more...ill have a better idea about that in the next few weeks.

  18. All 30 are intelligent species. The 30 new species are all from advanced cultures and are separate from the “creatures” that will be included. There are a couple of the species that are not intended for player character use, maybe 2-3.
