  1. It's mine! Thanks Tindalos!...
Bit disappointed to find that by paying full price I was labeled as paying above the average... especially seeing as 75% of the price of this puppy goes to good charities!
Looks great, and will be a great assist to my games! I look forward to giving this a read!

Shields are harder to break than swords. Parrying with a sword is a quick way to not have a usable sword any more. Unless you're parrying a natural attack, in which case it's a quick way to cut an attacking limb off.

Not sure I understand good sir. A medium shield and a broad sword*, these are almost the default for a bog standard Orlanthi, both have 12 HP. What would the difference in breakage (other than cost) be?

*assuming this is what you were referring to, let me know otherwise

    Cheers

You missed this, @PhilHibbs. Apologies for being obtuse, but I love your points and I am afraid I don't get this one.

Does not have to be. Any multiple births are considered to be trollkin  even if they are Uz in every other way.

Great troll twins as Enlo... this is my fave!

1988, RQ3, the Glorantha/Genertela "orange box" set. Weirdly, Balazar was one such blank land.

Yep there it is,Genertela Book page 42... Balazar: Blank!

Forgot about that entirely... (or erased the horror of it from my mind, more likely). The forward in Griffin Island explained it by removing Griffin Mountain from canon and putting into the more generic setting Jaquays and Kraft originally planned for it...

I give players an on the spot 1 point increase if they roll an 00 fumble.

I give the players an experience tick for the first fumble. I can't recall which iteration of RQ I got this from or perhaps it is a home rule but I have been doing it forever. I do like your idea and intend to add it to this one.

I just got a moderator warning for this comment being too sarcastic, and I see now it can be read that way. I want to make it clear that was not the tone intended, or the way it sounded in my head! Rather I was trying to express, in a joking way, my incredulous delight at there being a QA thread.

I have a bit of a rep for humour* (who knew?), but with humour there is a fine line twixt snark and a well needed belly laugh... Good luck in navigating it (we all need belly laughs), but if unsure, please err on the side of the obvious joke! In type it will be less easy to take offence.

    *well at least I think I do🙂

Title. I'd think it'd be a good deal better than what our own ancient cartographers could make, thanks to organizations like Lhankor Mhy's cult and magic like Flight or Geomancy (and of course our map loving adventurers), but I haven't found any definite answers. Thanks!

Just watching this and finding it thought provoking. I realize that a lot of this is on iron age mapping and later (it does of course start with sumerian maps... stone ones for those who hate to fold road maps), and that would be because most of the early mapping has not survived to this day, or were oral traditions, but I think it might still have interest for many here.

Well, I've posted an update for those interested.

Damn. I thought you had that up so fast... well, 'cause ya was just that good!
Although I could not figure out how you changed the dates to reflect real world times of play...

Ah, actually, even if it does work miracles, never mind making text selection and searching better... it will not work for me. It costs 104 canuck bucks... each and every year you use it. WOWSERS! This is a professional solution for someone with a pro needs and/or either a lot of spare bucks or customers that will help pay for the subscription. Sorry folk, at this point I will bow out of testing this puppy.

As has been mentioned, start a blog. Keeps it all in one place and you can link to it from a forum thread (as Nick mentioned) and vice-versa. Switch the initial view to list and you'll see a list of updates. Likewise with Downloads (aka files):

Though  I am not the one you asked... I might have an answer. I think Blogs... under Browse on the upper left of the BRP windows... and downloads, same place but to the left of Blogs, might serve your purposes.

At this point I could say great minds think alike!
But, my ma used to say, "fools seldom differ" so maybe I shouldn't 🙂

Oh, it works ok on the Introduction page that you showed, @David Scott! Every page after that that I have tried is wrong though.

When time permits I will try Davis Scott's (PDF Expertand see if I get the same results... Until the I can confirm similar results to yours with both Acrobat and with Preview on MacOS. Worthy of a note, I had terrible results with the Red Book of Magic and the Runes that powered spells and ending up working with Simeón Cogswell  for a week trying to find a better result. Conclusion was that Adobe handled it, Preview did not. I wonder if PDF Expert will be this months solution.
