  1. Amazing coincidence. But surely looks cooler from what i came up with drawing. 🙂 It definitely looks like a Mralotaur. All their arts are amazing.
  2. About your question, I like your idea, and surely that would work. Maybe even better. Do have it in the way you think suits you and your group best, as with everything. I had kind of thought it the way Soltakks wrote.
  3. More about mysticism and martial arts will be in the forthcoming books for sure. There will be the martial arts school of the Luvata Island in Vol 3, but even more in the books that follow. In Vol 3 there will be cult writeups of Enevar and Prosendara from that list, but others will have to wait for other books. In all there are six new Parloth/Adpara cult writeups in Vol 3. Unfortunately you will have to wait a while for the Dream Magic. We have a plan to have that in the source book about Haragala, that is possibly/hopefully coming to be Vol 6. There will be more, but not Mokato or Hanfarador for a while. The plan is to continue making these books, so you never know. There are plans to have fully descriped Sironomandidi in Vol 4, a sandbox setting together with the already published materials. Haragala is also hopefully coming, but there are other books before that. Thank you for your kind words.
  4. Hi, There are two new books set in the Korolan Islands of the East Isles, now available from the Jonstown Compendium. First of all, I would like to thank all the wonderful people making the books and in any way helping creating them. There are many of you, and without you the book would not be here; Tania Rodriguez-Kaarto made awesome covers, Neil Gibson´s layouts, the artists Juha Heinänen and Wille Ruotsalainen, all the proofreaders and the playtesters and their help in making the contents much better than they originally were. Juuso Welin´s contribution in particular was huge, with his better versions of the maps in the adventures. David Cake for his really hard work on the Mysticism and Martial Arts. But most of all, Nils Weinander for his interest in the project, valuable contrubution and access to his old texts of the Korolan Islands. I have had great time with making the books, and will happily continue doing more. About the books. Korolan Islands, the first volume in the series of the Hero Wars in the East Isles, is a source book. It descripes the setting, including keets and sorns, the local island gods (Parondpara) and the bigger gods (Parloth) worshipped in the Korolan Islands. More will become available in the future books. In the book there are loads of information about the Mysticism and Martial Arts. The are new weapons and armors. Homelands, Occupations and Background Tables for the creating the Adventurers. In the back of the book are lists of islands and gods. 91 pages and lots of pictures. Fires of Mingai, the second volume, is the book of adventures. Two of the Korolan Islands get a more detailed description. The places of interest included and the major characters are fully statted. The is a rumors table. The four full adventures are The Nest, The Hill of Red Top, Korolan Games and Fires of Mingai, and it is a campaign. The book has 129 pages with lots of maps and arts. Hopefully the buyers are happy with what we have created, and most of all, I hope folks really play the scenarios. It would be awesome to hear how they went. The playtest campaigns our playtesters had, were all very different to each other. That is of course how it should be. The Volume 3 is hard in the works at the moment. It will have a new set of full adventures, fully detailed Tamoro and Luvata islands, and more of the ships and of seafairing than these. It will also introduce more new gods. The books are found here. https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/411738/Korolan-Islands-Hero-Wars-in-the-East-Isles--Volume-1 and https://www.drivethrurpg.com/product/411742/Fires-of-Mingai-Hero-Wars-in-the-East-Isles--Vol-2 Hannu Rytövuori
  5. In our fourthcoming JC book we do have Fishing as a skill. It is a skill counted as Craft skill, even if that may not make much sense. It is easy to add to the Character Sheet that way.
  6. So if I understood right. Orlanth can be in both subcults and gain all spells from both Adventurous and Thunderous? Of course paying for rune spells normally with POW. But Odayla can not actually be subcult, even if it says so in the book? It is only associate cult granting that one spell when paid normally with POW.
  7. (Odayla is often worshiped as a subcult of the Orlanth cult.) This reads in Cult of Odayla. (Yinkin has a very small cult and is normally worshiped through Orlanth as an associated cult.)... But i remembered wrong. It does not say so in Yinkin. It says this instead.
  8. If you are an Orlanth Thunderous initiate and you worship Odayla as a subcult, do you have access to all the rune spells of Odayla or just one? Orlanth Thunderous gets Bear´s Strength from it for being an associate cult anyway. Same thing with Yinkin... If you worship Yinkin as a subcult of Orlanth Adventurous, do you only have access to one spell of Yinkin? What about Orlanth itself... If you are an Orlanth Adventurous initiate, do you have access to all Orlanth Thunderous side rune spells, if that is your subcult?
  9. I am thinking of doing a source/campaign book for a group of islands in East Isles. Is there some legal issues that I have to think of? Can I use 3ed Gods Book as reference for Island Gods and spells for example?
  10. Is worshipping Seven Mothers somewhat same as worshipping Lightbringers as a group? Can you worship Lightbringers in same way, as a group? There seem to be very much similarities in them also, Lightbrigers following Orlanth and Seven Mothers following Red Goddess.
  11. Borderlands is a fantastic introduction to Glorantha. That or Six Seasons in Sartar are the best way to introduce Glorantha to new players.
  12. This is from Guide. Balazar “I am a hunter of the (X) clan of the (Y) tribe. Why do you pass through our lands?”
  13. Do you mean the white squares? Is that what they are... I thought of "tribes" as of what clans are associated to specific citadel.
  14. Has anyone made a clan/tribe map of Balazar? It would be useful.
  15. Can Vampires Touch be parried? And if it can be parried, it cancels all effects, right? Or can only dodge be used against it?
  16. These are all VERY useful and interesting informations. Thank you very much.
  17. Start of year 1622 and Windstop is on. Our group are allies of Queen Samastina, from a help gained from her in the past. Our group consists of a princess of Greenstone Ernalsulva as leader of the group (NPC). Windlord thane of Greenstone (gained from Colymar Campaign), young vingan, Lankhor Mhy ally of Minaryth Purple called Jorjera Latish (NPC), Storm Voice of Orlmarth clan and Issaries trader... I am trying to make them somehow part of something intresting in this conflict.
  18. I would like to know more of what happened in war against Red-Earth faction? What are the major key points? What did Samastina gain from Gragspider? How big forces fought on either side and where did the big fights happen? Who were commanding warriors on both sides? These informations would be great in our campaign right now. But if there is not informmation about it anywhere, I have to just make it up.
  19. RQG Adventure Book has an Adventure Seed ... The Baboon Crystal. Might interest you, if you haven´t noticed.
  20. I think this is a bit of a overstatement... So far, almost none of the published scenarios have had any of these superheroes present, or them having anything really to do with RQG or RQ 2ed and 3ed scenarios in general. So, it is very possible that you can play almost all RQG scenarios as they are, still. It don´t matter if Harrek is alive or dead. That may change in the future, but that has been the way so far.
  21. Not that. But our players have fought against Khorr´rahk Mantroll from Tradetalk 12, who is said to be son of Androgeus.
  22. I love this element in that. Malovar Patroma also and many others. This is just the way I also like to present Glorantha to the players. I mean, what is the point hiding these great charachters from the players. I don´t let palyers read all Glorantha material, I present it to them in game. If they never meet Prince Temertain, Kallyr, Harrek and whoever, it is very much meaningles to them they even exist. But if they somehow interact with these great npc:s they become memorable, their deeds become intresting and so on. And Glorantha has loads of great npc:s to show them. On more recent thing is this, that we have made some former npc:s our new player characters. They are not necessarily from any published material, but previously interracted charachters and their history is well known already to the players. And it fits right in. One is this Vele Unnikanan, who was not my character when marrying Harrek, but after... Formerly she was an npc and lead a ship, where palyers were. The other was Darsten Black-Oak, who was a major antagonist to other group of PC:s, but has turned side and has escaped wrath of Kangharl and joined Wolfpirates, and bacame a PC.
  23. I like to put npc:s from published materials in hard use. I would like to hear what characters from canonical, or otherwise published materials, have had a big impact in your campaign... Our games are often very much "soap operas", so love affairs are also a big thing. One of our campaign happens on a wolfpirate ship, lead by now my charachter Queen of Fereva Vele Unnikanan, now also a wife of Harrek The Berserk. Ship crew include likes of Pinfeather, Darsten Black-Oak (now rivar of Kangharl), and robbers Halko and Pundia Carliotti (From Seapolis adventure.) Also of course characters not from any material. .. (This campaign is eventually heading towards a holiday island of Loral, also known as Monster Island.) In our Red Cow campaign, Ernalsulva, Diovena, Estal Donge, Farnantyr The Handsome, Gold-Gotti and many others have a major say in the story. In our Six Seasons campaign there is of course Kallyr and Kangharl... Just finished the original material and are waiting for what is to come in Company of The Dragon.
  24. What does it mean that House Hulta is a Sleeper?
  25. Basicly No. If the story needs it, yes. But not if players just want it. Magical items come only by gaining them from adventure one way or another. This is the way in our game.
