tooley1chris
I need some help figuring equipment costs not listed in Magic World book. Were those listed figured out with a conversion formula or copied from another source? Is there already a compatible book of gear? Thanks! I'm sure somebody just pulled those prices out of their butt. 1 Quote Please don't contact me with Chaosium questions. Chaot
Are the prices compatible with MW? Well enough. More importably, it's internally consistent and it's packed with 'stuff'. Quote 70/

Was just hoping perhaps there was a Elric! Book or something MW prices were based on. Some formula for Bronze Piece conversion. I think I may have a copy of this in one of my boxes...It's a great book, no doubt. I may have to work up a conversion based on this. Skunkape
I've based all my pricing, including what the players get paid from the real world. Yes, I know the prices of items in our world would be different due to the various manufacturing abilities of the modern world, but by going with a real world pricing model, the players have a better grasp of whether the merchant is charging to much or if they are getting paid to little for a job. Course they can be suspicious if the pay for a job seems to high for what they're asked to do as well! Obviously the person that wants to hire them isn't telling them everything! But this way, when a merchant says a room is 100 silver pieces per night, they know that the equivalent is $1000 per night, and if the place looks like a dump, he's way overcharging.
