  • RPG Biography
I started with D&D about 40 years ago and have played RPG on and off ever since. Usually I end up being GM and play modified versions of rulesets or home-brew rules (I love Glorantha, I hate the combat rules in all versions of Runequest)
  • Current games
Home-brew rules, Enemy Within campaign (WFRP) including major diversions, running for the past three years (5 players).
Home brew rules (parts from Runequest, Jackals, 13th age Glorantha, Symbaroum and The Troubleshooters plus additions), Pavis Campaign just starting

  1. Ducks were part of the inhuman occupation of Dragon Pass i.e. they survived in the area after the Dragonkill War. Humans came back about 150 years later (Glorantha Sourcebook p10). The Bestiary says "Duck culture approximates the Orlanthi culture that has surrounded them since Time began" The Durulz have been a tribe of Sartar since 1492. and Duckpac is a wonderful source of (Jonstown compendium level canonical) info,
  2. Stunning game and AAR. Is your additional Gloranthan magic system for for To The Strongest! available anywhere?
  3. Lunar army occupying Prax, sable lancers. Sables by fenris games, lancers by Aventine miniatures with Pendraken miniatures wire spears.
  4. I am not aware of any maps of Duck Ferry. The two duck places with good maps I know of are Duck Rock "Bad day at Duck Rock", which is similar in size to Apple Lane and has an inn and a store so might fit your needs or Redfeather Safe (Duckpac) which is a single building duck "village" on stilts
  5. Various mentions in Duckpac books 1 and 2, plus The Company of the Dragon and Bad Day at Bad Rock
  6. It is not easy to get hold of at a reasonable price. In my notes, the four locations mentioned in it but not P&BR are: D-19 Moonlighters Inn. Established by the Lunars, this is favoured by anyone who likes a serene establishment. R-36 Residence. Fandrikus Pharzool The self-appointed King of the Beggars. R-49 Hidden temple of Krasht H-10 Public bathhouse
  7. I am super interested in this too. What did you use as your starting point? Pavis: Gateway to adventure has a few details not found in Pavis and the Big Rubble, but I am not sure how canonical they are now.
  8. Garhound has 800 inhabitants, there will be local Storm Bulls as well.
  9. Ian, the runespell idea works well to protect the Temple, but do the cultists never come out of their sacred precinct into the city without some sort of magic protection active? If not, does that not greatly limit what they can do? i.e. zero "integration" into society, so no possibility to act as a 5th column
  10. We also dont play that those make you Chaotic and I agree on the poetic licence contradictions. In addition, we also dont play that unknowingly eating something Chaotic makes you Chaotic otherwise Chaos can too easily make large proportions of the population chaotic (cue the sausages from the WFRP adventure Sing for your Supper from Plundered Vaults)
  11. Do people with chaos taint never sleep? How do you avoid detection with 15m range under those circumstances? The Storm Bull priest (plus entourage) walks around the town at random times of the day/night once a week, Krarsht Temple/cult detected.
  12. But how does a Krarsht Temple/Cult stay hidden with a Storm Bull Temple/cult in the same city?
  13. Krarsht temple reference is p175 of Pavis Gateway to Adventure
  14. Will any of the art be made available through Redbubble (or equivalent), in particular the everyday life scenes?
