  1. As there is no alchemy rules yet, I'd like to have your input There is 2 ways of seeing it : 1 skill can do all the possible potions/balms/... 1 skill for each type of potion/balm A third option would be 1 skill, but each type of potion should be learned separately (cost and time)
  2. I try to have a clear view on how to learn new spirit magic spells A shaman can teach a spell (one week to do so) On a temple, you can learn spirit magic (How log does it take???) When you beat a spirit in spirit combat, you can learn one of his spell (every one? Or just a shaman?) Any other ways?
  3. Glorantha is very big. Just to go to one big city to another, it takes days/weeks/seasons. And I like to make my player travel a bit. Therefore I tried to imagine how to travel fast in the world of Glorantha. On a very good road, on horse, it is 50 km/day What if carried by an Air Elemental (with extension enough for a day for instance, or the sorcery version)? Horse is MOVE 12, Air Elemental also. But as it flies, it can go straight. Also, if it last for 1 day (meaning 24h), can it fly 24h? Does it have to rest? Can it fly during the night? Teleportation is also a solution. Can I leave a bound spirit home and tell the spell to teleport where he is (as he can see the place)? Or is it just full Allied Spirit (as the one you get when you become a Rune Lord)? Any other clues/Ideas?

    Lascerdans

Coming back to my question ;), Moschops or Manatee, They seem to be intelligent species, capable of building dams or burning forest. Most probably worshiping gods. Slarge are humanoid creatures. Should I also imagine Lascerdans as a humanoid form of the Moschops or Manatee (depending on the source)?

    Lascerdans

Hi, I wonder if there is a image of what lascerdans should look like.
  6. Can we use Martial Arts to help in Grapple attacks? How would you play it? A successful grapple and Martial Arts would gibe +5 to STR for the immobilization or the throw? Any other idea?
  7. OK. Conclusion : Bound spirit (except if Shaman) is useless on all these situations Thanks
  8. Thanks Other situation : a PC is attacked by a spirit (as the spirit see the POW of the PC, he will probably attack the weakest). How can the other PC help him? Bound spirit can be of any help? Or is he doom
  9. When you don'"t have a shaman or a Free Ghost at hand? Can anyone with a bound spirit ask this spirit to attack the Ghost in order to make it leave the body? Any spirit?
  10. Still not convinced... Spending one rune point for a spell you use only when student??? What the heck? One shaman, you will never use this spell anymore (as it is self). My RQ will certainly vary on this one....
  11. How can they learn spirit dance, spirit travel if not discorporate? And as a Shaman, the discorporate spell is not the first choice as they would be able to do it for free after few years...
  12. When I read the rule about discorporation, it is always the shaman. But can an assistant discorporate? I think so as he has all the necessary skills (spirit travel,...)
  13. How does Malkioni see the afterlife? Reincarnation?
  14. I'm sorry Joerg, I'm not sure I followed you 100%. OK I understand that Class mobility was created long after the Sedalpist arrived in Umathela, therefore there is little chance that they would follow this approach. But the rest, I'm lost!!!
  15. Hence Sedalpist could be a cross-breed between mystics and Wizards? And as they don't want to taint themselves in killing Humans, they could learn to master 'martial arts" (like Aikido) in order to defend themselves against outsides and also possible dangerous animals Nobles, instead of running tournaments with heavily armored knight, could challenge each others with dance, music, poetry and some martial art contest. (sorry for this of topic imagination coming from the previous post)
  16. I don't find anywhere this information... Do Sedalpists allow class mobility? Are they more Rokarists or Hrestolists?
  17. In the RQG, there is a travel table for land travel (outdoor movement rate). But not for boat (I know it depends on currents and winds). Any clues?
  18. i imagine that the version Combine Harmony Earth should do the same?
  19. Why the man rune? Do you want this spell not to work on animals? Or should it be another spell?
  20. I would say Pamaltela, no?
  21. I don't have all these books... But I agree that FoundChild (or a similar God) should be more the hunting good for the Umathelan Orlanthi. The defending warriors - Humakt, Elmal and others. I was thinking a bit of the Orlanthi cults in Umathela. The civilized part of Umathela is ruled by Malkioni. And the Aldryami are the great power of the area. Therefore I imagined that the main religion is more Earth Cult than Storm Cult (for the ruling point of view). Orlanth worshippers are mainly mercenaries, always far from the villages. Earth cults are ruling, and as there are few wars (The Woodland Judgement prevent it), few are the ones protecting the villages. If Orlanth and Humakt worshippers are not in the villages, I imagined that the function of protecting the villages against beasts (the main threat) would become part of the Hunting God (whatever his name there). Maran Gor cultist would take care of the Dinosaures, and FoundChild of the other beasts. As it requires a very good knowledge of the beasts to find the right way to drive them away (and to kill one of them once in a while for meat) I like the idea that Umathelan Orlanth (Worlath and Baraku and more) are not the Orlanth Rex of Sartar. And that other gods would get his 'functions' in the Umathelan Orlanthi society Just an idea though (I know that MGMV), I just like to share to have other peoples view on this. (and thanks for your comments )
  22. Sorry for not being clear enough. I was more refering to the Umathelan Orlanthi. They could have Odayla, no? I Know that now, hunters are also there to control the population of the wild animal in order to prevent them to destroy crops. Who would be the protectors of farmlands in a area where huge beasts are common?
  23. From what I have read, it seems that Pamaltela has more giant sized wild herd animals like dinosaures, and mesozoic type of animals (and also predators) than Genertela does. It seems that the Odayla cult would be slightly different in the Orlanthi regions of Pamaltela than in Genertela. Because hunting these giant beasts is not the same as hunting a deer or a boar. You need more men (or women), maybe traps. Also, a group of boar can do a lot of damage in a crop field. But a group of Daeodon or Chalochotere can do even greater damage in a field or in a orchard (without speaking of the big herbivorous dinosaures). Therefore I can easily imagine the Odayla cult being in charge of driving away these beast from any farm fields.
  24. Martin Helsdon did a very great job in Google plus, by gathering many common creatures in Pamaltela (And Genertela) But I can hardly find any stats in the existing books (but I don't have them all). Here is the list Amebelodon shovel-tuskers, Anaconda, Andrewsarchus, Arctodus, Arsinoitherium, Baluchithere, Bat, Crocodile, Eland, field elephant, Fire Wren, Fish Eagle, Frog, Giant Sloth, Gigantopithecus, Glyptodon, Gomphotheres, Green Heron, Hippopotamus, Homotherium, Jaguar, Lion, Milk Antelope, Rhinoceros (two), Sea going crocodiles, Sky bulls, Sivatherium, Stegodon, Sun Fish People, Tiger, Titanothere, Trihorn rhinoceros, Vulture, Warthog, Wildebeest Thanks
