  1. Nobody took me up on this, but I figured a way this could work. If you look uP RQG PDF Page 210: "A spear is often added to the shaft." When you are a High Llama riding, you can attack stabbing 1-H Short Spear or even 2-H Short Spear with the Dagger-Axe. If you are mounted, it makes certain sense to be able to attack 1-H or 2-H. If you ever get dismounted, you can start swinging with the full wrecking 3d6 dmg.
  2. Strangers in Prax page 27, Count Julian. Truesword and Bladesharp stack in RQ3. And unless RQG (or RQ2 in some page) specifically states that they do not, they do stack. Sounds bad but that's what you get when you get hit. Beware of Humakti bearing Greatswords.
  3. At least in the published RQ3 material they did stack, and it is not stated in RQG that they do not, so I assumed they would. The Parry vs. Dodge is a good point too. How aware are the NPCs about the amount of damage coming their way? "Yo Mr. NPC! You are about to be hit in the chest with a glowing greatsword. Do you Dodge at 45% or Parry at 85%?" Versus: "You Broo! You are about to be hit in the chest with with a 1.5 meter long iron greatsword glowing with The Unholy Light of Death Itself. If it hits you, it will do 26 points of damage. Your weapon on a succesful parry will block 12 points and you have 3 points of Cuirbouilli on your chest. If you Parry succesfully at 85%, you are still toast. You would need at least a Special Success to have any chance of making it. However, if you try to Dodge at 45% and make it, you are all good."
  4. One specific case for splitting attacks is when you are wielding a two-handed weapon with lots of base damage that will get through parries. For example, if you are a Humakti wielding a Greatsword with Truesword and Bladesharp 4 on(Free spell for all of them). Damage is 4d8 + 4 + dmg bonus (And add Strength to this?). It does not matter if they parry successfully your split attack, as long as your base damage still wrecks them through parry and armour.
  5. RQG PDF page 306 in Waha cult description has Alter Creature (one-use) listed for Khans and Shamans. The spell description is on page 318 of the PDF.
  6. Speaking of two-handed weapon use some more, have you guys noticed that on pdf page 62 one of the cultural weapons of the High Llama Riders is the "2H Dagger-Axe"? Does this mean that in RQG you actually can use two-handed weapons while riding? Or maybe not every type but at least the dagger-axe? Or maybe not everyone can but the High Llama Riders yes? How do you guys see this?
  7. Is there a link anywhere yet to this file? I joined the preview list too late to get this. Chaosium site has a link only to the first Bestiary preview pdf.
  8. RQG PDF page 28: "Some events are only important to certain Homelands. If your homeland is listed as participating, you must roll or pick a result. If your Homeland is not listed in the Participating Homelands, you can skip the event if you choose. You can still choose to roll, even if your homeland is not listed as participating. History has a way of affecting everyone, no matter where you are from." If you really really want your Old Tarsh or Praxian character's grandparent to join in on the fun in 1597, I assume you are not meant to pick any result higher than 15 (20-5), and if you roll d20, apply that listed -5 modifier.
  9. On page 355, the Bad Man does not have a listed Spirit Combat skill % (just a POW of 35), But Bad Man's Spirit Combat skill % is the info that is needed so the would-be Shaman can fight him skill vs. skill in spirit combat.
