Gallowglass
An arrow fired after casting Sureshot will always hit unless a fumble is rolled. But can the person firing do a called shot (the rules call them “aimed blows”)? Like, does Sureshot practically guarantee a headshot? French Desperate WindChild
my view : you can try the headshot, so apply the modifier if you roll is not a fumble (with your modified skill) you hit the body : if your roll is under your skill (modified) you hit the head, if not, you roll for the location
gochie
I think RAW, no. I believe someone from Chaosium answered that for me directly. Would I house-rule that? Absolutely. It sucks that a good hunter with a 100%+ skill has no use for his main spell.

Thanks for the replies!

"regardless of movement, range (if it is within maximum missile range for the weapon), concealment, etc. " I would say the called shot counts for the "etc". It also makes sense - for a hunter, Sureshot is how you make sure to hit the animal in the right place to kill it quickly. soltakss
Sureshot works best in adverse conditions. You fire through dense woodland in a fog in the dark at a target that is jinking about, you apply all the negative modifiers and still hit on 01-95. But I'd use French Desparate Windchild's idea about still hitting a random hit location if your called shot would have failed.
