Peter Hart
In the wake of Dragonrise the two Lunar regiments that had been stationed in Duck Valley have made a tactical withdrawal to Duckpoint leaving a power vacuum behind them. Meanwhile the adventurers are escorting a merchant and his cargo of metal ingots from Dwarf Mine to Man Vill in Beast Valley. Andrew Logan Montgomery calls this "a thoroughly classic adventure" in his insightful review see https://andrewloganmontgomery.blogspot.com/2021/10/bad-day-at-duck-rock-jonstown.html Available on the Jonstown Compendium here https://tinyurl.com/crhhuvxt
smiorgan
Bought! The review convinced me with the magic words "Griffin Mountain". It looks like it's a terrific addition for a Sartar campaign in the new timeline.

Peter Hart
If anyone has run this scenario it would be great to get some feedback on how it went. Any suggestions on how I could have improved it. Any ideas for bonus content. Many thanks.

Austin
I've got a review up for this adventure over on my website: https://akhelas.com/2024/03/01/review-a-bad-day-at-duck-rock/. 😄 TLDR, a very interesting sandbox with on-point Western vibes. 2 Quote Jonstown Compendium author. Peter Hart
Pleased to report Bad Day at Duck Rock has just gone Electrum. Many thanks to everyone who has bought this. Special thanks to Carl Pates the initial impetus and encouragement, Dario for the amazing art, Andrew Logan Montgomery and Austin Conrad for their awesome reviews. I'm sure Austin's review at the start of March has pushed this into Electrum territory.

Jason Farrell
@Peter Hart What's different about the new .pdf? I saw that there was an update and that it's 4 pages longer.
Peter Hart
11 hours ago, Jason Farrell said: @Peter Hart What's different about the new .pdf? I saw that there was an update and that it's 4 pages longer. Hi Jason, The addition of floor plans for the bathhouse added a page to the map section at the end. This followed a request for these floorplans in one of the reviews. The bathhouse section (DR09 on p19) was also expanded by almost half a page (mostly the image, but the text was also reworked). However, this was compensated for by moving the picture of Velash the Healer from the Shrine to Chalana Arroy section (DR10) to his statblock and deleting the image of Tethral in the Barracks section (DR14) which was duplicated and can still be seen with his statblock on p45, so there was no extra increase overall to page count from this. The background for the gamemaster section has been fleshed out, adding about a page. Note also in the background for the players Tiberian now states that he will stay the night at the farm rather than returning to the village in the afternoon. This is to give the adventurers less incentive to head out from the village too soon, making it more likely they will interact with the various events in the bathhouse that evening as well as on day two (the ogres and also Nurlus Ilm). There was some rejigging of the art: resizing, moving around and so forth. There is new art by Dario on page 79 (Zombie with Lyre) which is really cool. Another new page was the addition of a back cover. Finally the thanks section now gets its own page at the front having been split off from acknowledgements and copyrights. Font size had been getting too small. Nick, as always, was really helpful, and sorted out all the technicalities in making a print ready pdf. cheers Peter p.s. The page numbering now excludes the front cover by the way! 3
