EDIT: Oh boy you weren't kidding about the interactions! Busiest place I've been on since Reddit (but less weird).

It is definitely busy, but very well moderated. And some threads (e.g. some of Jeff's) generate a lot of comments.

And the Jonstown Community Content Circle is very good to post in if you're looking for advice/help in advance.

A subreddit is sadly defined by its users and mods...

Regarding your Sun County book, does it contain also rulesy stuff or it is 100% background?

I'm currently running a Sun County/ Sandheart game set in 1619. I see your book is set in 1625, but I guess much of it would be useable...

Rulesy stuff off the top of my head: character creation, road encounters, river encounters, random events, and a new Influence system for political shenanigans. Also found item tables for four categories of households.

The book’s mostly for classic period games (1615ish), plus some notes on what might change by 1625.

As Nick said above, also weather and npcs... but it will absolutely be perfect for 1619, our campaign is currently in 1617, the pre-great winter is the focus for most of the book.

Most of the other older online forums are on the decline, at least in terms of Chaosium related activity:

  • Reddit gets maybe one new topic posted a day. Most replies to those posts are infrequent.
  • RPGpub gets few RQ/Gloranthan related posts.
  • RPG.net gets maybe one RQ/Gloranthan topic per week, usually when something new has been published.
  • I no longer expect to see posts about RQ/Glorantha on the therpgsite, and almost never go there any more.
  • ENworld forums seldom have much RQ/Gloranthan content.
  • If there are others, I don't know them or have forgotten about them.

Most Chaosium staff are far more active on Facebook (love it or hate it).

There's also some modest Discord related activity.
