This is a place where you can post any errors you spot in the Week 7 Guide to Glorantha Group Read. Please note that there will be a different thread each week to post errors.

This weeks page range is page 125 up to and including page 149. Please include the text to be corrected and the correction.

p.135 - 2nd column, 1st para, "engulfed Jrusteli" should be "engulfed Jrustela" or "engulfed the Jrusteli".

p.135 - Timeline box, 775 second entry, "Eeast" should presumably be "East".

p.140 - last line of 3rd column, "In 1245 began a series of battles began"  should be "In 1245 a series of battles began".

p.142 - last para of 1st column, "noblewomen" should be "noblewoman".

p.144 - Timeline box, 1582 first entry, "along coast" should be "along the coast".

Earlier documents have the Melib/Teshnos based duchy as "Eest".

Interesting. I see that it does have an entry in the index under "Eeast", but doesn't occur elsewhere in the Guide.

By earlier documents I meant e.g. Middle Sea Empire and Revealed Mythologies. The Teshnos history section on p.428 has Eest, too, and there are two more mentions in the places of interest.

That index was generated more or less automatically from the machine-readable text (omitting all the (printed) text on the runic diagrams, for instance, which would deserve quite a few errata) and faithfully preserves alternative spellings.

p. 133, middle column, last paragraph, last sentence:

Quote

Obduran retired from the world to mediate, and ascended as a True Dragon in 803.

Mediate? Really? My guess is, that this is a typo, which changed the meaning of the sentence completely. If I'm not wrong, this should read meditate.

map on p. 143:

the last part of the line/arrow marking Dormal's voyage is marked with the year 1582, but the text on p. 142 states:

Quote

In 1583, Dormal sailed northward, to Valind’s Glacier, and then moved west. His last known stop was Ygg’s Isles, where one of his ships was wrecked. Then he sailed westward to find Luathela, despite warnings from the savage Ygg’s Islanders.

So this seems to be an error in the map ...
