MOB
So much for us getting accused of "lack of realism", just because Greg Stafford's World of Glorantha really is the flat top of a floating cube, under a sky that's an actual dome... https://www.thepoke.co.uk/2018/03/22/guy-makes-role-playing-games-criticised-map-new-orleans-unrealistic-gone-viral/ Edited March 23, 2018 by MOB 2
jeffjerwin
The mythic quality of Glorantha's physics is the best reason to shut down "realism" experts. I love it. But I write poetry for fun, so there you are. The bridges of Kralorela kind of remind me of the roads of New Orleans...
GianniVacca
Well, the USofA is a fantasy place, sort of. Most people I know are only familiar with it via comics and films. 1 1 Quote 「天朝大國」,https://rpggeek.com/rpgitem/92874/celestial-empire 很有意思: http://celestialempire.blogspot.com/
Jenx
I still am not entirely convinced New Orleans isn't a fictional place, and these maps are not helping in convincing me otherwise

JonL
The answer to most of those inexplicable civil engineering choices is "corruption and/or nepotism in government contracts." Louisiana is a symphony of graft. Why build something simple and adequate when your cousin's crew can get paid to do it the long way (or, classically speaking, the Long way)?
