Also in the Journal of Runic Studies, Issue 12, @lordabduldid an annotation of the battle rules as used in the Battle of Queens episode of the White Bull campaign.

Interesting. In the travelogues in Cults of Prax, it mentions that a Humakti became a wraith, I think, and the merchant was shocked as he was a Humakti.
I guess, you think of this part (Cults of Prax, Classic reprint, p.66):
QuoteEye-whisper said he detected the ragged ghost of Alain, sword of Humakt, plaguing the consciousness of the healer. I recalled that Humakti had prepared an expedition against broos active in the Sog's Ruins. The mere thought of a foe which could make a Humakti Rune Lord remain as an undead did chill me to my soul.
So it's about a ghost, not a wraith, and this ghost is called an undead. But I guess, that this is just an in-world simplification/generalisation. Rules-wise neither a ghost nor a wraith are undead as both have POW.

Alynx were called shimmer cats in RQ2 IIRC and they were pretty sneaky
Not only in RQ2 but also in RuneQuest:Roleplaying in Glorantha. From the Bestiary, p.159:
QuoteShadowcats are dark-colored felines which range from the size of a housecat to that of a lynx. They are very quick and quiet, and are also known as shimmer cats because they are extremely hard to hit.

I think, this part of the Dragon Pass master map displaying Whitewall and Derensev, i.e. Southern Sartar, may be part of the upcoming Sartar book/box. (But I could well be wrong here.)

Unfortunately, we have no plans to sell them as PDFs.

So happy birthday to you! And I would support that wish! So even if there are no plans to sell these books (The Roots of Glorantha tomes and the GreGanth Atlas) as PDFs, I would like to hear, if there is a chance for selling them in printed form again ...

Also, just curious, what are the details of Kallyr Starbrow's death? (I saw the illustration on p.169 in the GtG of Starbrow surrendering... when looking for Tarshites in the Guide.)
Was it anything like Vercingetorix, who was imprisoned in the Tullianum in Rome for almost six years before being publicly displayed in the first of Caesar's four triumphs in 46 BCE. He was ceremonially strangled at the Temple of Jupiter Optimus Maximus after the triumph. A plaque in the Tullianum indicates that he was beheaded in 49 BCE.
Not at all. After surrendering in 1613 at the end of Starbrow's Rebellion Kallyr went into exile to King Broyan in Whitewall/Heortland. She participates in the Heroquest, which returns the Sky Boat in 1624. After the Dragonrise in 1625 she raises the tribes and defeats the Lunar Army in the Battle at Dangerford. She is killed in the Battle of Queens in 1626.
On the other hand the other guy in the illustration, King Hofstaring Treeleaper, refused to surrender, and so he was hit by strange Lunar magic and drawn into a Lunar hell ...

Presumably part of the upcoming Trollpak?
Given what Shannon Appelcline has mentioned regarding his upcoming Elf Pack this seems to be a valid assumption:
QuoteELF PACK is divided into three parts, which I hope will be three booklets in a boxed set, though that will ultimately be up to Chaosium's decisions and the economics of production. But, their brand-new Starter Set is such a great-quality product, and I don't have a boxed set of my own, so fingers crossed. The three books are:I. Book of Aldryami: Creating & Playing ElvesII. Aldryami Lore: Elf Legends & HistoryIII. Into the Woods: Elf Adventures(If that looks familiar, it was drawn from the organization of Troll Pak.)- 3

Thanks @Oracle I've incorporated all the others as well. It looks like I (or I should say, we) did the German list before the official translation came out, and a couple of them were clearly Google Translate cock-ups!
Yes, that's quite probable. The official German RuneQuest version is available since November 2020, with the final version available since February/March 2021. I'm pretty sure, we worked on German terms for your spreadsheet much earlier:

Ah sorry "OH" means "Off-hand", using the weapon in your secondary hand. I added those so that people could track two different skills with different base chances.
...
Ok, off-hand is translated in the German Runequest version as "nicht-dominante Hand" (non-dominant hand) or "andere Hand". So matching abbreviations could be NDH or AH ...

I'll adopt all these, except for the weapons that are in the core rulebook as I think that the translations that I have are the official ones (please correct me if I'm wrong, e.g. Schlachtschwert vs Zweihänder).
If and when an official A&E translation comes out, I will ask again for someone to provide me with updates!
*EDIT* Actually... I'm beginning to doubt the accuracy of the existing core rules weapons, I had "1H Short Spear" with the same exact name in German. Something's wrong!
If I've applied changes to weapon names, which have been introduced with the RuneQuest:Roleplaying in Glorantha core rules, then I've changed them to the names, that are used now in the recently released German version RuneQuest:Rollenspiel in Glorantha (e.g. Greatsword is translated as Schlachtschwert - not necessarily the best translations, but the official ones).

I've worked through @PhilHibbs's approach to a German translation and changed translations, which seemed wrong from my perspective either with a (hopefully) more correct translation or with the existing translation from the German version of RuneQuest:Roleplaying in Glorantha (where not yet correct already). I've also used @Joerg's review of my first proposal (thanks for that!) to change some of my original translations, when I thought. that Jörg's proposal may be more correct. But similar to him I'm not an expert on German terms for ancient weaponry, and this is quite a difficult topic, so you have to take that with a grain of salt.
Changes to the original translation proposal have been marked in red.I did not really understand, what the entries starting with OH (e.g. OH Broadsword), so I'm not sure how to transfer them correctly into German ...

For many entries in the weapon tables the Damage column uses "+db" as an additional value for the respective damage calculation. My guess is, that "+db" is meant to adding the respective damage bonus, but this is nowhere explained (as far as I can say) and may be confusing, especially for new gamers. -

The stone bow is a simple bow (surprise) that throw stones and not arrows. There is a (usually leather) pocket in the middle of the cord where you put the stone.
In fact, according to the description, it is a light crossbow, which does use stones instead of bolts. So there are some similarities the "Balester", but I'm not sure, if it is really the same.

p.65: FalxAccording to all sources, that I have checked so far, a Falx seems to be kind of a slashing weapon in the form of a sickle or scythe, not pole weapon with an axe blade. Are you sure the naming is correct? -
p.69: the illustration for the Boot Blade does not at all match its description in the text.
Advice for running "A Fire in the Darkness"?
in RuneQuest
Posted
"A Fire in the Darkness" is also covered in Session 5 and Session 6 of the RuneQuest Starter Set stream.
Session 4 covers mainly the downtime between "A Rough Landing" and "A Fire in the Darkness", but also sets up the scenery for the latter adventure (roughly from 1:30:00).
