  1. I think this critic was aimed at master vs master.. with, say 2000% vs 2000% (ahem, unlikely big number... ), would be silly to give them both 100% crit chance when facing each other...
  2. Interesting.. I should have a look...
  3. Haha.. I am the opposite of that, each NPC makes pay dearly for their life... Well PC still do mow down bunch of NPC.. but I think 1v5 is their current limit... 😛 And that's when NPC dont have too good magic present...
  4. Pardon for the very open ended lightly specified question but.... I have a few large battle coming up in the campaign and I am not too sure how to role play them.. any tip? And I guess I should come with clever tactic on both side.. 😕 Anyway the backstory and details are as follow: Our current fantasy campaign is heading towards a few large invasion battle between an invading orc army and our player's defending clan army. Which is Viking clans style force in their homeland supplemented by a few Dark Elves and their power alien Magic. I plan to increase the tension, and hopefully make them being from earshot from enemy leader (the son of Grumpch, an Orc demigod, surrounded by his lieutenant), the orc magic is a few basic sorcery (+4 blunt weapon, heal, confuse) and they also have a few Necromancers and a few Life shaper (they have the create monsters from advanced sorcery) - hence a few huge and scary monsterly mounts. The player's side force has some basic sorcery (the divine magic) and some advanced Dark Elf magic and perhaps 1 dragon. They have a little bit better armor (marginally) and obviously fortification, if any, are on their side. Probably the first town should fall and then the combat should drag on the second town. Then both forces are going to be third partied by an army of spectres and, hopefully, should come to an agreement against the spectre... The orc were only there because the spectres chased them from their ancestral homes, i.e. their land was cursed as a prisoner reported. (if I can not make the on the fly switcheroo where the Orc join the viking against the spectres, The army of spectres should ravage both side direly... but I got another trump card to save the player eventually...)
  5. Nice to hear man, congratulations! 🙂 I am running a homebrew fantasy campaign at the moment (almost never use published adventure for some reason, I think their presentation format doesn't fit my thinking, it's just too much work for me to use a prepared adventure 😮 ) What I like with BRP is how inherently flexible it is... how it encourage you to tweak the rules.. because I do! I even have my own original custom rules! 😅 An additional benefit to BRP is that I plan to have some outer plane travel and deity appearances at the end of this campaign. Even though this is a new campaign with new characters.. But this is not D&D I dont need to slog them through 20 levels first! 😄 Thanks to Cyberpunk 2077 which I play at the moment, I think I might be able to run a scifi campaign next. I had writer block on scifi adventures.. and I realize some of my own assumption on my future societies had to go for adventure opportunities to arise, but couldn't do it all on my own.. 😮 😅 (Star War or Mass Effect don't fit my style / narrative as GM... but Cyberpunk, minus the excessive body modification, does! 😄 )
  6. actually that's a bit much... even 2 or 3MP cost reduction is a huge boost.. give them sparingly, most of the time on magic wand / staff or the like! Most useful spell (depends on how you will cost them of course, but if I take BRP cost, most useful spell cost like 3~4, so 1MP cost reduction make a big difference you see) you don't need to increase the skill any faster than any faster than any other skill... Magic user already have a huge edge in this game.. If I wanted more magic though.. I would give a bigger MP bonus. maybe 2 or 3 per 10%...
  7. That's what BRP does ! ^_^ I added 1 special skill (called it magic sensitivity) which give you 1MP per 10% and 1MP spell cost reduction (one time bonus) at 100%
  8. You got a point here.... However, to reply to another post of yours: Let's say you are a David Bowie fan. Spend your time on David Bowie fan club forums. Then you learn David Bowie is a drug addict! Now, these forums are mostly about music. But wouldn't it be a fair point to talk about Drug addiction on said forum at the time hey? What say you to that? 😉
  9. I thought the Inn was to talk about any kind of topic hey? Nothing will be "resolved" here obviously! And the title clearly states what it is about, so no one here could really be complaining about wasting time by accident... But there is one thing you can do @Simlasa is to just ignore this thread! Your problem solved! 🙂

  12. well, do you have any D100 book with some monster at the end.. you will see they are very much like human, same characteristic (some might be bigger or small), same atttribute calculation (damage bonus, hp, ..) same skill.... for fun here is some of my Master of Orion races (short copy past mishmash) (I added racial skill, i.e. skill that start at +20% for that race, or skill that are only available to that race like psionic power) (Focus is a special skill I created just for the sake of Psilon, can give you a few bonus special roll per session) Elerian Playable YES Empire Tech Level 10 Homeworld: Draconis Government: Feodal Extent: Small STR 3D6 CON 3D6 SIZ 2D6+6 INT 2D6+6 POW 4D6 DEX 3D6 APP 3D6 MOV 10 Location Table: Humanoid Languages: Elerian 60%, Bulrathi 40% Racial Abilities: Psionic Racial Skills: Meditation, male: Empathy (psionic), female: Telekinesis (psionic) Bulrathi Playable YES Empire Tech Level 12 Homeworld: Ursa Government: Dictatorship, Anocracy Extent: Large STR 3D6+9 CON 3D6+4 SIZ 2D6+2 INT 2D6+6 POW 3D6 DEX 3D6 APP 3D6 MOV 10 Location Table: Humanoid Languages:Bulrathi 60%, 40% in one of Elerian, Gnolam, Human, Klackon, Mrrshan, Psilon Racial Abilities: High Gravity (half physical damage, double jump length), 2AP Racial Skills: Polearm, Energy Rifle, Influence Psilon Playable: YES Empire Tech Level 15 Homeworld: Mentar Government: Dictatorship, Technocracy Extent: Medium STR 3D6 CON 3D6 SIZ 2D6+6 INT 3D6+6 POW 3D6 DEX 3D6 CHA 3D6 MOV 10 Location Table: 4 arms => use Biped, Winged Languages: Psilon 70%, Bulrathi 50% Racial Abilities: Creative - and 3 advantage rolls per session on any knowledge skills (K), Low Gravity, Endurance Runner Racial Skills: 2 x Science (any), Focus Skill Sillicoid Playable: NO Empire Tech Level 12 Homeworld: Cryslon Government: Autocracy, Cragg Extent: Medium but Diluted STR 4D6 CON 4D6 SIZ 4D6 INT 2D6+6 POW 3D6 DEX 1D6 APP 1D6 MOV 6 Location Table: Humanoid Languages: Sillicoid 60%, Bulrathi 20% Racial Abilities: Crystalline, AP: 6, Lithovore Racial Skills: 4 bonus ANY skill (racial memory, can even be psionic) Trilarian Playable: NO Homeworld: Unknown Government: Dictatorship STR 4D6 CON 3D6 SIZ 3D6 INT 2D6+6 POW 3D6 DEX 3D6 CHA 3D6 MOV 2, Swim 10 Location Table: Serpentine Languages: Trillarian Racial Abilities: Aquatic, Transdimensional
  13. She look way too cheerful considering the sizzling hot temperatures! 😮
  14. I cant see! 😮 I am happy.. though working from home might make me crazy.. we shall see....
  15. I was all excited to start working for EA so overshared as much as possible about it! ^_^ Fact is.. I am working remotely or from home, haha. To be honest all the Melbourne office is working from home because of Corona, but I am in Brisbane, my contract is work from home. But on the slack channel someone was sharing nostalgia when they were in the office. Hence this picture I saw in the slack channel. And since I found it funny to find an office picture with zillion of game DVDs, I shared it! 😛
  16. D&D is sooo passe.. B&B is the way to go! 😄
  17. As long as it's not a vampire rabbit. Those are too OP! 😮 😛
  18. To be fair, this was only a flesh wound! 😛
  19. I am in! Well.. sort of, my email is "@contractor.ea.com" and here is a pic from the office (not live someone posted it) Notice all the Battlefield CDs! 😄
  20. You were our only hope joe.. kenobi! 🙂 sorry, couldn't resist.. ok, I take my coat and get out! 😜
  21. In the Eda Thor had to fight the frost giants... But how the time have changed, the fire giants are now moving in! 😮
  22. Damn.. I should have moved! 😄 Oh well.. truth to tell I am not so keen to move to Melbourne.. but who knows, after a year there, if all goes well.. I might just as well do it! 🙂 (It's a 13 months work from home contract at the moment)
  23. Speak Her name and she appears She, who shall not be named! 😮
  24. You forgot to say, I would guess looking at your description, that you increase damage with user skill! And STR damage is strangely ignored when parrying... Interesting that parry and dodge work somewhat the same I have to give it some thought...
