RPG Imaginings Stream-Of-Consciousness Children of Fear Reflections
MandilarasM commented on klecser's blog entry in RPG Imaginings
Thanks for your insights into this campaign! They definitely provided a great summary of what one should expect while reading and running it. I'm there with you being a slow reader of PDF, so I'm still halfway through chapter 3. I hope the physical book comes out soon enough. -
They look amazing! Can we have a peek inside to see the new font size and a sample of the layout?

For the Malleus_Monstrorum_Volume_II_-_Deities_of_the_Mythos_v1.22.pdf file: Page 50 - Inside the "TYPICAL PHYSICAL MANIFESTATION: CTHUGHA" text box, "bust" should be "burst". Flame Burst: may belch forth fire instead of using pseudopods. A flame bust has a range of 150 yards/ meters and blankets an area of 20 yards/meters with fire, incinerating most things within

Well that made my weekend!

Check at the 54m 55s mark. Really exciting stuff on "Cthulhu - The Dark Frontier"!

Chapter 6 of "Terror Australis 2nd ed" has quite a lot of information (about 10 pages) for you to build upon and expand regarding the Yithians, Pnakotus & Flying Polyps. Definitely worth for getting the PDF or, even better, the book! Also, the Australia chapter of "Masks of Nyarlathotep" has a fantastic description of various areas of the underground city. Great stuff, great resource material!

Malleus Monstrorum - printer's proofs look great!
MandilarasM replied to MOB's topic in Call of Cthulhu
Thanks for the information! It seems that COVID-19 among other things must be blamed for this delay. We'll just have to wait a little bit more! -

The Grand Grimoire of Cthulhu Mythos Magic updated to v2
MandilarasM replied to kaptainai@aol.com's topic in Call of Cthulhu
It seems that version 3 of the PDF is now available to download from Chaosium's website! Thanks for the very quick fix of the links in the table of contents! -
A relic indeed! Thanks for sharing this piece of history!

The Grand Grimoire of Cthulhu Mythos Magic updated to v2
MandilarasM replied to kaptainai@aol.com's topic in Call of Cthulhu
Well the only thing easily noticable is the addition of certain copyrights on the Table of Contents page. Which by the way messed up the links to the pages. It seems that the ToC was compressed to allow the new text at the bottom, but the links have not been updated / moved accordingly. Other than that there might be the occasional errata corrected, but I guess M. Mason can provide the full information. -
Nameless Horrors 28% off in our Stay at Home Spring Cleaning Sale
MandilarasM replied to MOB's topic in Call of Cthulhu
It would be really nice if Nameless Horrors gets the full color / hardcover treatment in the future. The interior art is already great so there shouldn't be much work to be done. -
Not an actual errata, just a little detail, but I'm going to mention it anyway. Page 45, in the paragraph with the description of Hank and Edith Haggarty, it mentions that "Edith is a thin-faced individual with glasses". The portrait of the couple in page 44, does not depict Edith wearing glasses. One might argue that she is not having them on all the time, but my group actually asked me about it two days ago when I ran the scenario for them.

A very minor detail in the 1.2 version of the pdf file. Page 11. Left column. Second to last paragraph. The word "sanity" in the sentence "The experience caused Corbitt to lose a large degree of his sanity and left him with a split personality and partial, somewhat selective, amnesia." has a 1 point smaller font that the rest of the document. It is visible with the naked eye and can also be verified by copying the text in a word processor like word.

The pdf files for the scenarios are very well written, have fantastic layout and top notch cartography and handouts. I believe you can go on ahead and have a look. No need to wait for the print version. The sea calls you...

You can also run "Flotsam & Jetsam" which is comprised of four loosely connected scenarios deeply related to the Deep Ones. I'm currently running it for a group of three players and we're really enjoying ourselves! You can get it for free as long as you join the "Cult of Chaos" group (https://www.chaosium.com/join-the-cult-of-chaos/).

A really good find for background music during sessions! Especially "Ghosts VI: Locusts" which is hauntingly dark and atmospheric. Thanks for sharing it!

Volume II, PDF page 111 (book page 110), inside the "Yellow Sign" text box: The first sentence reads as: "The Yellow Sign is connected to the King Yellow and a token of worship for He Who Is Not To Be Named." If I'm not mistaken it should read as: "The Yellow Sign is connected to the King in Yellow and is a token of worship for He Who Is Not To Be Named."

Indeed two gorgeously looking tomes! As for the gugs, I think I've read or heard somewhere that there won't be any Dreamlands creatures in the books. They will probably be a part of a future Dreamlands publication.

Page 99. The text under "T’challix, future denizens of Earth" reads as follows: The T’challix are tall and strng. Basically humanod, they have an etra pair of smaller rms under their pimary ones. Theirheads resemble something between a snake, a lobster, and a rhinoceros. There are some letters that are missing. Unless I completely misunderstood the meaning, it should read like the text below. Missing characters are marked red and bold, while there is a space character missing between "Their" and "heads". The T’challix are tall and strong. Basically humanoid, they have an extra pair of smaller arms under their primary ones. Their heads resemble something between a snake, a lobster, and a rhinoceros.

That release was indeed a surprise! I'm reading through Mr. Corbitt now and I love the whole thing. The writing, the artwork, the layout, the keeper advice and the maps! Well done Chaosium! By the way during my initial skimming of the book, I've found some typos that I'd like to bring to the editors' attention. Can I post on this thread or use another one?
