Agentorange Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 And very impressive it is too, doing some serious reading in order to do some writing for an idea i had. In other news I have ordered some steel bars to re inforce my bookshelves and a small portable winch to get it up onto the shelves 😆 1 4 Quote
svensson Posted March 12, 2022 Posted March 12, 2022 Yeah, this is NOT your night table reading.... lol! Quote
brionl Posted March 13, 2022 Posted March 13, 2022 I've only got that one in PDF, so my bookshelf is safe. One of the biggest bookshelf busters I've purchased recently was The Books of Earthsea: The Complete Illustrated Edition by Ursual K. LeGuin. It's almost five inches thick! I was disappointed though, very few illustrations, and it is sized and shaped really awkwardly for actually holding and reading. 3 Quote

The collected The Books of Earthsea is perhaps more a thing to be had than a thing to experience. What illustrations there are are awfully nice. !i! 1 Quote  ...developer of White Rabbit Green

Following the link, it claims "over 50" (so, 51?) illustrations. While not a vasty number across all the novels & short stories, it seems like 50+ is more than "very few" ...  6 hours ago, Ian Absentia said: ... What illustrations there are are awfully nice.
