Lands of Genertela - in photos

Recommended Posts

Now, I'm quite sure no-one has yet been able to photograph anywhere in Glorantha, but IIRC, there was a thread from a few years back that had photos of the general lands of Genertela, to make it easier to put into our imaginations (it's simple to just name a land formation or geography - but if you're not used to that type of land, it's much harder to imagine). Obviously, I' referring to real world versions...

Does anyone recall the thread?

Or should a new one be started??

I don't recall the thread, but Jeff has posted some pictures over on facebook (catalogued in the Well of Daliath) to convey how Glorantha looks:

While Tapatalk's Glorantha corner is mainly the archive of the activity of the much lamented Google Plus group for Glorantha, that still exists. The G+ group had a feature called "Where in Glorantha":

Edit: Looks like quite a few of the images were not archived.

The best being the one by Greg himself (Library of Londarios: Postcards From Glorantha (Mar 2004))

Thanks all.

I always thought Sartar was more hilly/mountainous, and significantly greener.

Sartar has a wide range of terrain. Generally speaking it is greener and more verdant in the West and drier and more prairie-like the farther East you go. And, of course, it is colder in the North and hotter and muggier in the South.
