Look at the Wyter section of the RQ Bestiary, page 173, and add one or more spirit abilities. Quote ----- Search the Glorantha Resource Site: https://wellofdaliath.chaosium.com. So basically, your ancestor can be a Wyter following the rules, but you could not get Daka Fal rune magic from it.

In the spirit powers section of the Bestiary it says The gamemaster should create unique or tailored spirits by giving them one or more powers. Everything imaginable exists in the Spirit World, from wraiths with fire elemental forms, warrior spirits that strike with spiritual swords that take away hit points instead of magic points, animal spirits that turn their enemies into lycanthropes, or others equally fanciful. Just make it so. This is a freehand to do what you will. As a wyter can also be a subcult (giving Rune spells), it's a straightforward to assign this to a spirit ability, If you don't want to do this in your game, that's fine. My players did this with the Grey Crane (Pegasus Plateau), and can learn Speak with Birds and Become (Other Shape). They proved the Grey Crane is one of the founding ancestors of their bloodline (along with a swan maiden). The Crane allows its priest to cast Incarnate Ancestor (Grey Crane only), Summon Ancestor, and Summon Specific Ancestor. There's no shaman involved so the wyter is limited in what Rune spells are available. Nah, this is not a go ahead to restructure the entire cult system. Its basically YGWV type thing. I would rather allow Daka Fal God Talker without them being shamans. Nobody -- let alone David -- is saying it's about "restructuring the entire cult system." The "freehand" is about unusual, unique, cool spirit powers. If there is one particular spirit who violates the "general' rules about cults, that's not "the entire cult system." Easy enough to define this particular cultic "Founding Ancestor" as acting like a wyter, and also functioning as a Daka Fal priest, thus gaining (and granting to followers) access to Daka Fal rune-magic. If that's a direction the table & the GM would like to take, I don't see any reason not to take it. 2 Quote C'es ne pas un .sig
Shiningbrow
Besides which, I don't think the rules could conceivably be fully representational of the entirety of Glorantha (or even of the Dragon Pass area). There will always be exceptions to the rules.
