  1. I wish Chaosium well with this PoD and the Advanced Sorcery one too. Having these options for physical books is amazing.
  2. A seconder for this as well.
  3. The real benefit, in the hands of a DM who can frame the prompts well enough, is indeed being able to author on the fly text - that can be edited/changed/redone and reworked - it's a jumping off point type tool - not necessarily and end in and of itself. I'm looking forward to future more refined versions that reduce the mistakes producing contradictory text. And a better/broader range of understandings of TTRPG rulesets.
  4. They also release a promotional list of tasks for the future that had similar wording to 'previous editions being considered for placing in the CC' - if that means a ruleset like 3.5e and its complete SRD (minus obvious IP details) could go CC that would an epic move too - I'll wait and see. I just want to extend my understanding and playing past only 'D&D adjacent' stuffs. D100 based games fill that requirement.
  5. So true - heaps of connections within the industry we are not likely to have for sure. Great points. I really hope the ORC license 'works' going forward as an alternative open gaming license anyway. Something that gives the hobby and industry a full certainty. Even if the principle might not be anything more than a 'wish' in terms of the market dynamics. Quiet fan lives in hope. 🙂
  6. Thanks for this full clarification. Never intended to infer negative motives or talk Chaosium down. I really like MW and missed out on being able to get a physical copy years ago. Love the idea that a PoD option is being planned. So glad COC Classics are getting the PoD love too. Working towards budgeting for the BRP PoD book myself in fact now in a few days. So, kudos, and I wish you and your team at Chaosium well in processing the extensive list you all have to deal with to keep us supplied with physical books. I know there are stories of others being burned by PoD print and production quality of other games/titles etc and I'm sad for those folks but I've always found mine to be of good quality from OneShelf/DTRPG when they've arrived. And shipping to Australia has been reasonable for me. Not sure about pricing these days compared to 2020 re that but willing to pay for it to have Chaosium physical material that is unavailable to me directly from your warehouse(s). . (*Note to self* "Order RuneQuest H/C books SOON...." .lol 🙂)
  7. To me a prudent approach is to wait and see until the ORC license is released - contributing where they feel necessary along the way. I wish them well however this turns out.
  8. Yes, re Magic World going PoD. Something I'd like to see. Don't have a copy - will have to go to a local print shop for that I guess.
  9. I'm just glad BRP has gone PoD on DTRPG- thanks again Chaosium!! 🙂 Still yet to order my copy - but will be done in time.
  10. EPIC news - I got my pdfs in a previous sale. I was more meaning Chaosium announced no further support for the titles. If you want them then go ahead while they are still available on DTRPG. From 2016 -
  11. As I understand it Chaosium themselves are strong backers of this effort. Re the ORC license.
  12. Hmmm....colour me many shades of intrigued...... 🙂 lol
  13. Both discontinued Chaosium products now. (MW and Advanced Sorcery.)
  14. Thank you so much for this Rick and the team at Chaosium!! Really appreciate this so much.
  15. Never even knew these existed - amazing what treasures arise when searching through old archives. 🙂
  16. Great to read - however things turn out 🙂
  17. Ambit question, would the start of work on a new edition be considered if there is any shift of BRP to an Open RPG Creative License (ORC) that Chaosium have announced they'll likely embrace?
  18. Truly great work!!! Thanks for this supplement to Magic World.
  19. Back checking out Chaosium, these forums and found this - really hope it's released so my investment in Magic World can be realised - amazing news. Best wishes with this -checked your other game content/works - great stuff!!
  20. Passing on condolences to Greg's wider family and to Micheal and all the Chaosium family past and present at the loss of a truly powerful creative genius. Truly sad news Greg Stafford leaves a legacy that in the last few years got re-ignited and has now resulted in a new edition of it's original flagship title Runequest. I'm glad he got to be a part of this massive refresh and revival. His Gloranthan universe has fresh life and is in solid hands. In their time of grief my heart goes out to Greg's surviving family.
  21. Exquisite naming choice. (Bit late to this information).
