  1. Does the Glorantha Sourcebook shed any further light on Belintar? (Very jealous of those who have draft versions via the KS that I missed out on - roll on publication!)
  2. So, following a comment from @Joerg in the Holy Country thread: Who exactly is/was Belintar? Where did he come from? We know that he had blue skin when he swam ashore, but not much else. What are your theories?

  4. Do plants in Glorantha require nutrients in the earthly sense though? After all, fire doesn't require the same sort of fuel there as it does on earth. Isn't magic and myth more important?
  5. Any planned publication timescale? The article says that WF is back for 2017, but does that really mean for publication? If Chaosium have already got all the content for the first issue lined up then, sure, but if the soliciting for content includes the first new issue, then I can't see 2017 being realistic. Anyway, it's great news that it's going to be back.
  6. Love the troll's head/face. But like others, I do wonder where his thighs have gone. His legs (or lack of them) look rather silly.
  7. I'm on holiday at the moment, but seeing whether KoK has arrived will be a big thing about the (usually depressing) return to home.
  8. Are you talking about this sort of thing? http://www.princeofsartar.com/comic/40-the-six-guardians/
  9. p.263 - map - the place names are unreadable on the PDF, since zooming in produces too much pixellation. Eiher there should be a higher-res map or a larger font for the place names (and perhaps a lot of the small detail could be removed and just have area names?). So a simple solution, just increasing the file size, or a major map re-work. p.274 - Kuchawn, I suggest that "celestialogists" should be "celestiologists". p.276 - map, the bridge names are too small to read and are pixellated when zooming in on the PDF. p.283 - Hsunchen box, Lo-Fak, the population line is in bold and should be roman (not bold). p.286 - 3rd col, 2nd para, 1st sentence, "was based" should be "were based". p.291 - Zangshi Kinool, 2nd sentence has "Zanghi Kinool".

  11. On a more positive note, this is the very first time that I've ever read anything detailed about Fronela and Loskalm (and even then, of course it's just a very high level overview in the Guide). And I love it! Something about Fronela and Loskalm really makes me want to learn a lot more about the area(s), game in it, and generally immerse myself in it and soak it all up.
  12. It might just be me, but the text immediately said "backwards" to my brain, and that was confirmed when I read it that way. I don't recall anything else like this in Glorantha (though I could be missing something). It just doesn't "feel" like Glorantha to me, where everything else has names which seem to fit.
  13. Sure, but it wouldn't have been too much of a stretch for some of this to have been "Gregged". I cringed when I read about "Egnarps" and "Ojedneps" on p.205. Doesn't fit Glorantha, sorry.
  14. p.241 - 1st column, 1619, last sentence, either remove the comma or insert an additional comma after "army". p.243 - map, "Thomble" should be "Thonble" (map itself and box pointing to it).
  15. I'm assuming that the rope holding up those ladders is magically protected, and there's no point in trying to hack through it. I guess someone tried and proved that it's useless to do so.
  16. Chop Them Up! http://www.princeofsartar.com/comic/104-chop-them-up/
  17. Interesting question. On p. 201 we have the following: So assuming the Ban took place more or less immediately, which seems plausible, it sounds like it may well have been in winter, with the Rathori presumably hibernating, which seems consistent to what I raised above about p.233 saying they were hibernating, but not with p.232 suggesting they thought it "a single night".

    Nomad Gods PDF

I just received the Nomad Gods PDF via the Khan of Khans Kickstarter (I assume this will be available later on for purchase from the Chaosium website). Love it, especially the old-school (e.g. typewriter) presentation. But of course lots of great Praxian info in there.
  19. p.202 - 3rd column, last para, 2nd sentence, "was opened" should be "were opened". p.225 - Brass Citadel, dwarf's should be dwarves'. p.227 - Dwarves of Nida box, Description, "who rules" should be either "who rule" or "which rules" (depending on whether you want to refer to the Council of Nine as a single entity or a plural of members). p.229 - Harrek box, 3rd column, 1st line, was it only a single "merman" that Harrek threw the Vadeli too? It strikes me as a bit odd (though not, of course, impossible), and I wondered whether this should be plural "mermen"? p.230/231 - For these two maps, the legend is too small here on the PDF. The map is at a larger scale than the previous maps, and presumably at the same resolution. Because of the larger scale, if you try zooming in to read the place names etc then they're blurry and in some cases impossible to read (e.g. the names of rivers). Either the legend needs to be made larger (so it's readable), or (probably easier) the map needs to be at a higher resolution here. p.230 - map, Hingswell has a stray "15K" by it, presumably a leftover from the population map, and this should be removed. p. 232 - 1st para, 2nd sentence, "thinking it a single night". Is this correct? On p.233 it says that the Rathori were hibernating at the time, so they wouldn't have thought it a single night.
  20. According to the original Pavis boxed set:
  21. They might have just paid up and bought the missiles from the Dwarves.
  22. p.154 refers to the "Hero Planes" (plural), whereas the rest of the Guide only refers to the "Hero Plane" (singular).
  23. The Guide uses the singular term for this parallel God Time Glorantha in most places though, e.g. (p. 156 box-out): It seems to only be p.154 that uses the plural. I'm adding this to the error thread.
  24. In case anyone is wondering, as per the discussion on G+ and what @M Helsdon said there, these missiles are mentioned as dwarf artifacts in the original Pavis boxed set.
