  1. That artwork of Clearwine is amazing! *faints* *wakes up* Shut up and take my money, Chaosium!
  2. A book on heroquesting would be awesome. There's already some good stuff in 13G, but a whole book on it would be excellent. And if it was generic and not specific on a game system then I can see a big audience for it.
  3. Umm, you've missed quite a lot ...
  4. Must. Resist. ............
  5. If you're asking about HQG products specifically, then see:
  6. So is @David Scott's Prax book now going to be an RQ book?
  7. The Coming Storm has one occurrence of this too, for the Giants.
  8. I feel that HQ is in very good hands with @Ian Cooper in charge of it.
  9. When I was scanning this, my brain read this as "dwarf mankini". Now I can't shake that image. Help!

    Hazia?

According to Pavis: Gateway to Adventure p. 192 it produces visions and a state of euphoria.
  11. @Ian Cooper, @Rick Meints - thanks, new version looks great.
  12. The latest version at chaosium.com has this error (and the rune/involved one too). So that is the latest version accessible to mere mortals. It's not unreasonable for someone to report something that they've seen in this latest version, right? It's different if you want to say "we're in the middle of more proofs, please don't report more issues", which is what you seem to be saying in a later post.
  13. Any news on an updated PDF? I assume that the typos and so forth noted in the tribal editing thread have been incorporated into the hardback. I just downloaded the PDF from the website again and can still see the missing page number XX things, for example.
  14. There's an updated version on the Chaosium website for those that have bought the PDF.
  15. Ooh, interesting. It does look like an updated version now. Thanks for the heads-up.
  16. You're referring to the typical abilities provided by rune affinities, e.g. the Orlanthi ones on p.123, right? Thanks for the reminder about this. There's so much good info in S:KoH.
  17. Gallons are used as units in the Guide to Glorantha.
  18. Trouble buying it for Benbulbin or the Sale Plateau? In the original image that Greg was referring to in the Reader's Digest book (I have a copy), it's a lot more buyable since the plateau is pictured as more distant. You'll find lots more images via Google. Not criticising styopa's efforts, I think this is a great idea, but not sure if he has the book to refer to.
  19. I don't think that anyone has said this yet, but the blue dude isn't Orlanth, it's an Orlanthi Wind Lord. Though I can't find the reference where Jeff said this right now.
  20. Re: BoHM. From http://www.glorantha.com/docs/canon/ :
  21. Way too harsh. So it's not acceptable to say that an item is of "poor quality" here? So no-one should be criticising poor Dobyski for his art, Hickie and Innes for Daughters of Darkness (ok I realise the latter isn't Glorantha, but it is RQ3 and comes up from time to time here). Come on. A bit of an over-generalisation, no? What if the newer stuff really is more complete and covers a wider area etc? And I'm pretty sure that no-one has said that all the old stuff is rubbish. Because plenty is still canon, e.g. Cults of Prax and many other old publications. I'm pretty sure that no-one from Chaosium/Avalon Hill at the time said that Eldarad was rubbish, but that doesn't make it untrue. YGWV and of course anyone is free to use any source material (or none of it) that they like. But everyone should also be free to say what they think about published material, new or old.

  24. This has been mentioned already, but now that I've started reading the book properly, I think it bears repeating. The Dragon Pass map on pp 5-6 is very nice, but it strikes me as far too detailed in this context, and any newcomer to Glorantha will likely be frustrated in trying to work out where on Genertela the various regions described are located. Can I suggest that this Dragon Pass map be at least partially replaced by a map of Genertela showing the main regions? Perhaps a smalller, less detailed map of Dragon Pass can be retained. For me, I can understand it fine because I'm more familiar with the overall geography of Genertela. But I'm trying to put myself in the position of much of the target audience, those who are new to Glorantha.
