  1. Now that quite a few people got a copy via Free RPG Day, could the threads discussing rules, errata etc that are currently in the Cult of Chaos forum be moved back to the RQ forum please?
  2. It's back! Intro page for now, a proper page next week. http://www.princeofsartar.com/comic/introduction-chapter-6/
  3. Ah yes, the "Uz: Trolls of Glorantha" Unspoken Word/Issaries troll sourcebook from 2001. That was for Hero Wars rather than HQ though. I've never seen it so I don't know what's in that. The upcoming HQG book that's being discussed in this thread sounds massively more appealing though, and a completely different kettle of fish.
  4. What HQ book? There isn't one yet, so how can you judge? Maybe I'm misunderstanding you though. The upcoming book sounds fab.
  5. Very close to the return of Prince of Sartar now - Patreon backers have just been shown a WIP version of the first page of Chapter 6!
  6. They mentioned them on Star Trek:Deep Space Nine, so they must be something useful ...
  7. You may have seen this already, but here's the short summary that the author of the work-in-progress new three-volume Trollpack, Dan McCluskey (@boztakang), posted a while back:
  8. There must be plenty of blessings for the community that it would be useful to have - fertility, keeping diseases away, bringing the best sort of weather, animals to stay healthy and produce lots of young, etc.
  9. Yes, the bookmarks were fixed a while back. I don't think that Chaosium have sorted out the ability to re-download old purchases from the Moon Design glorantha.com site, so you'll have to contact Chaosium customer services to get hold of the latest PDFs.
  10. I hope we see some tattoos, like Orlanth's, added in the final version. They seem notable by their absence at the moment (yes, I know they could be under their armour, but they're not *all* going to be under their armour). Edit - excellent idea for the booklet though, I can't wait to see it.
  11. Ok, cool. Good to try and make sure I don't get too excited, too early
  12. Great news, but when? Same time as Quickstart hard copies, or earlier?
  13. Update to add the new "Glorantha Quickstart" booklet just announced.
  14. Thanks for the correction, guys. I even did a search in the HQG PDF to check for that. Clearly I didn't do a very good job. Though I did think that Tindalos's post was implying that you could *only* get bronze via alloying copper and tin.
  15. This isn't right, is it? According to the Guide to Glorantha, and HeroQuest: Glorantha, Gloranthan "bronze" is mined directly from the ground and comes from the bones of Air gods. It's not an alloy of brown and white Gloranthan metals, though it does need purifying before it can be fully useful. To the OP - I think there might be some misunderstanding going on here. You can't just dig in the ground anywhere and find some bronze, it's not that easy to come by the bones of Air gods. And only a relative few (redsmiths) know how to work it. So there's plenty of scope for trading raw bronze and worked bronze items.
  16. The HQ ruleset must be ideal for supers. Sounds fab.
  17. Following up on my previous post - I think I see it now, second-to-last paragraph of RH column, page 46 of HQG rulebook. That's referring to increasing runes and keywords though, not specific abilities. It's because runes and keywords give you very broad abilities indeed, so naturally they're not so easy to increase as more narrow, specific abilities. It's also talking about using the 12 points for increases that you're given as part of character creation. It doesn't have anything to do with Hero Points that you gain from play, which you may choose to use on increasing abilities (assuming that's what you meant by XP). It's just that the Hero Points that you gain can be used in the same way, i.e. one point to raise a regular ability, or two Hero Points to raise a rune or keyword.
  18. By "XP", are you referring to Hero Points? I don't see this "half the cost" thing, but I'm probably missing something, sorry.
  19. Unless things have changed in a big way in the past few years, setup costs for plastic minis are very high (the cost of the injection moulds), so plastic minis are a big investment that needs to be repaid with volume sales or high selling prices for the minis.
  20. Sorry, I think something's up with my browser/PC and download links. I'll sort it out. Thanks.
  21. If you can find a copy, then Tales of the Reaching Moon issue 7 was a "Heroquest Special", and contains a few heroquests as well as lots of discussions about how to play them (before the time of the HQ ruleset). I'm starting to compile my own list of where various heroquests are documented, since from time to time I ask the same question myself about where to find examples.
