  1. I don't think they need to adopt systems if they're not needed. I do, however, think that if CoC has an elegant way of handling something that RQ2 currently doesn't, that ought to be the first "go to" for the solution. If it doesn't work, well it doesn't work, and you move on.
  2. I'm not finding it slowing anything down at all in CoC7.
  3. That all sounds complicated.
  4. CoC7 also has a way of avoiding that. Seems like unifying the various rulesets would be an advantage.

    RQ genealogy

    Lands of Adventure by Lee Gold. Another FGU percentile game I assume derived from RQ. Definitely seems like CoC etc should be on there if BRP is. Wasn't the the first appearance of the BRP rules booklet in the COC 1ed box?
  6. Back in the RQ2 day, we converted impale to special hit and they all did something. I can't quite remember what, but it was something I grabbed from someone's house rules in A&E or The Wild Hunt. I like the various changes in CoC7, particularly the hard/extreme and pushing. However, I tend to cynically guess that we will see the two games mirroring each other when CoC8 comes out and undoes everything that changed in 7.
  7. Arrived today on Cape Schrod. I agree, the Guide is really amazing. It's more of what I'd expect from a coffee table art book, not an RPG rulebook.
