  1. Congrats... that is outstanding! You must be very proud...I am very happy for you!
  2. The fact that the two editions back out honestly it makes me Very happy. I see the fact that there is a demand and the game has not perished. While I am not a fan of Mongoose ( I can't really explain why.... considering the number of products with their stamp on my hard drive I guess I am A hypocrite, I suppose I should be grateful for resurrecting the RQ/ Traveller and Stormbringer - my favorite Trio of RPGS). I would like to think that eventually the old games may make a comeback.... my favorite was where the 2d Minis you taped to a penny in the back of the 1st Ed Stormbringer.
  3. I thought summer was to be a low intensity season i am swamped with family, new additions to family and RL nonsense... In case you guys don't know I am a veterans advocate and I just won a case for a widow: to award the silver star for her husband. I volunteer my time to go before the ABCMR (Army Board for Correction of Military Records) Also I belong to the Sons of the American Revolution, Sons of Confederate Veterans and Military Order of Stars and Bars. Currently I am in the second year of preping the Confederate Medal of Honor recommendation for a Lt.Col Alanzo Dargan of the 21st South Carolina Infantry who was killed at the battle of swift creek rallying his regiment by advancing with the regimental colors in a brigade attack. His actions allowed the Brigade to follow throough and extract the 11th South Carolinia for a precariious tactical position. Lots of research. If you are a Traveller Fan I just had an article published in Freelance Traveller Fanzine on Zhodani Commandos. I have my thumbs in many pies.
  4. That's interesting to know. I have the old PDFs from when they where on heck I have the old hawkmoon edition
  5. My kind of man Vagabond.... I am trying to learn how to modify the BRP Fantasy Grounds II Virtual Table top so I can get a group together . Keep the faith Bleddyn
  6. Further It seems I can mod the BRP rule sets for an adventure. I am going to put to together a mini adventure to see is the feel is there for this. Look on the subforum in a week by then I will have it together. We can test run it ... if you don't have FG let me know I will hook you with a set ... " wink" I am a very generous person.
  7. Just to give everyone a heads up I am attempting just get a group of gamers together for weekly ( weekend ) gaming. I can play from usually 8 pm EST to 2-3 EST ( GMT-5)....Saturday or Sunday. I have the BRP and Classic Traveller rules. What I would like to do is put together a Young Kingdoms ( ELRIC/Stormbirger Game), I am presently working on the Age of Arthur (Fantasy-Dark age BRP) and classic Traveller. I just pruchased Fantasy Grounds a few days ago and am still learning the kinks of the system. I do have one BRP adventure ready (the one you can get for free)... Next saturday . If you are sencerrly interested let me know by PM. Please let me know how old ( I am 39 and am looking to play in an adult group). Your BRP preference (RQ Glorthana or Youngkingdoms) or Traveller (I can set up two different days). I may use voice or not depending on who it goes. If you really want to play and need FG let me know ( I am fairly well off and like to play santa claus). .

  10. I am going to start working through that Fantasy Grounds is a virtual tabletop for pen & paper role-playing games. It provides all the tools you need to play your favorite RPG online, including the dice, sheets, tokens, maps, notes, the whole works. 3.5E fantasy rules are supported out of the box, but Fantasy Grounds can be customized and extended to suit almost any RPG. Additional rulesets, token packs, map modules and campaigns can be created and shared with friends. This package contains the ULTIMATE version of Fantasy Grounds. With it you can: * Run games as the Gamemaster * Host an unlimited number of unregistered players (limited only by your connection speeds) * Host games for registered and unregistered players together. * Join games as a player * Create characters locally to take with you into a game session * Create additional rulesets and modifications So I have a test platform we can run on now...

  17. workgroup members check the subforum thread. I have been tied up with the Movie RESTREPO about my unit (173rd Airborne Brigade) in OEF VIII and getting the National Geographic preview in DC coordinated with veterans groups and old comrades. I was in OEF VI the experience was very similar. http://restrepothemovie.com
  18. I have had the Old Stormbringer Style of rules in mind with the Following attributes in mind Strength, Constitution Size, dexterity, Intelligence Power and Charisma. I think rust brought it to my attention that Education might be applicable considering language, law and engineering. Also for humans My recommendations are 2d6+6 for attribute roles. The other Creatures of more fantastic origin we can tackle later Cultures (each would give tailored background skills) - Romano-British Civitias (Including Gallo-Roman) - Brythonic/Welsh (P Celtic Speakers) - Picts - Irish (including Scots Irish)- Q Celtic Speakers - Anglo-Saxon (Jutes) - Franks - Visigoths Class-Background (core skills for start of Heroic Journey) - Warrior (representing the full time Teulu/Hearth Troops) - Freeman (Militia/Farmer/tradesman) - Mariner - Noble - Rogue (Thieves & Assassins) - Merchant - Priest/Shaman/Druid/Magus - Slave - Craftsman - Scholar - Hunter - Bard* Skill groups Stealth- : Move Quietly, Hide, Ambush, Conceal, Cut Purse, Agility- Ride, Swim, Climb, Tumble, Dodge, Jump, Balance Manipulation- Tie/Untie Knots, Set/Disarm Trap, Slight of Hand, Juggle, Pick Lock Perception- See, Taste, Scent, Listen, Insight*, Search, Track, Witch Sight*, Leadership Knowledge- Languages, Lore (Music, Herb, Craft, Culture, Arcane, History etc ). Appraise, Navigate, Physik, Craft (Trades), Memorize, Seamanship, Tactics, Map Map Communication- Persude, Sing, Orate, Intimidate, Inspire, Perform, The Use of Attack and Parry skills I guess it is a start now lets talk about it.
