  1. I would like to see Chaosium reissue WoW, with the rules cleaned up a bit, in one book. One that is cheaper than the BGB.
  2. The fact that you get stuff like telepathy as a useable super power in WoW sets it apart from the BGB (which has it in a separate set of powers). Also the disadvantages in the WoW Superworld version yield more points than the BGB ones.
  3. Isn't Outpost 19 set in a very similar milieu? http://basicroleplaying.com/showthread.php/1522-OUTPOST-19-An-Archaeological-Research-Station-on-the-Frontier-of-Space
  4. http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~zcz/elric/enchantments.html
  5. I would love to be able to buy it but $125 is a bit steep, and most of the game is on this site. But the scenario for magic world is missing. http://basicrps.narod.ru/index-wow.html
  6. I've just been reading the LoEG Nemo: The Roses of Berlin, where the good Herr Doktor makes an appearance. Reading your stats for the character scares me. Played properly by a GM, this character could be the downfall of many a pulp PC!
  7. Thats OK senschal, references to old Games Workshop Warhammer 40K games bring me out in hives! http://www.spacehulk-game.com/ Thanks for the links.
  8. Good job too. The Yule Cat was well nigh unbeatable!
  9. I know of three game shops and none of them stock that book. If it was published in book form, in the UK, they would have it.
  10. Will there be any new scenarios for Mythic Iceland published in the next year?
  11. In Merrie England the number of crew for a Hulk is missing, and isn't in the errata, can someone please furnish me with that information.
  12. Yes, but horses don't bite you on the throat do they? Well not any horses that I've encountered...shudder.
  13. Commands that are suicidal, such as being told to stand still while being hacked to death, get an Idea roll that is Easy. If it is made, and the roll is a special or critical, then the target has broken free from the spell. Thats what I get from reading the description on page 96, second paragraph.
  14. LOL! What did Moorcock to do you Pete? Sleep with your wife? Shit on your carpet? Rape your dog? Why the rant at Mike Moorcock when it is the Chaosium staff that created the rules for armour, and gamesystem, for Stormbringer RPG, not Moorcock.
  15. To digress from the main subject of this thread...do you like Elric as portrayed in this french graphic novel, Le Trone de Rubis? https://www.google.co.uk/search?q=le+trone+de+rubis&lr=&as_qdr=all&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=1Q3IUt7tGIK3hQfWpoCwDg&ved=0CFEQsAQ&biw=1280&bih=896
  16. My favourite incarnation of the EC stuff is Elric! RPG which made me fall in love with the game system. "Go for straight BGB BRP, all the worlds of the Multiverse are already there!" Unfortunately Moorcock had a big fallout with Chaosium a long while back, so you are unlikely to see a BGB BRP supplement for the YK setting anytime soon. http://www.multiverse.org/fora/showthread.php?p=237034
  17. Before the event occurs let me wish you all a happy and prosperous new year, if you celebrate it. And let me ask what games you're hoping to play in that new year?
  18. "Totally amoral"? I say sir he was, at times a real bounder but, sir, he had a soft spot under that amoral appearance. "He is charming and genial in person, with obviously great intelligence, and despite his world-conquering aims (his exact goals are never clearly defined, and his goal at the end of his first book is to get the token of a medieval Chinese executioner--a small black walking stick. With this he plans to rule the world. Somehow) is relatively reluctant to kill, sparing Hatteras a number of times. When he kidnaps Hatteras' fiancée he acts as a perfect gentleman towards her, and at the end of the first novel, when Hatteras marries his simpering, milquetoasty bride, Nikola sends them a collet of diamonds with a note reading "With heartiest congratulations and best wishes to Lady Hatteras, in memory of an unfortunate detention and a voyage to the Southern Seas, From her sincere admirer, Dr. Nikola." http://www.reocities.com/jessnevins/vicd.html
  19. There were also some psionics rules for Elric!/Stormbringer 5th edition. http://www.oocities.org/area51/chamber/5004/digest/80.htm
  20. Had to bing that one! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%22Manos%22_The_Hands_of_Fate
  21. Does anyone recognise that the reference to the Dropa race in Dragon Lines (page 93) goes back to long debunked hoax? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dropa_stones And did anyone catch the reference to a place called Battuta in Atlas of the Young Kingdoms (page 106) which is the name of the Muslim explorer Ibn Battuta? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ibn_Battuta I'm just wondering what other obscure references I've missed in various other BRP supplements? Do any of you have any?
