  1. Questworlds WILL BE the general HQ multi-setting line. It is (presumably as an intentional homage) named the same as ... Questworlds used to be (and still is, if you can find it used) the RQ-engine'd (RQ2 era, before AH, MRQ, etc) non-Gloranthan RQ line, aimed at any/all of historical, alternative/non-Gloranthan fantasy, possibly 3rd-party licensing, etc. http://www.indie-rpgs.com/archive/index.php?topic=21477.0;wap2
  2. Can "tags" be applied retroactively (by mods) to a thread? And can forum-search function search on tags??? @Trifletraxor? So (for example) era-tags "Classic" & "Gaslight" & "Modern" &c...? Also useful (for the specific uses by Cult of Chaos GM's) might be "Duration" tags like "1-2 hours" & "4 hours" & "Multi-session," etc. If tags aren't Search'able, maybe edit thread titles, or even edit the posts themselves; so Keepers can more-easily find scenariae to fit their needs. I know that, for example, I have been at a convention and had my "plan A" fall through, where if I had had a quick scenario available I'd have been able to run that instead. But I hadn't prepared such a backup scenario.
  3. That's why they're unintended, hm? Because plans are implemented by folks who don't see the downstream problem. I mean... I don't see any problem either (I wouldn't have proposed those 3 steps if I saw problems; seeing a problem in the original proposal was what got me to speak up in the first place). That doesn't mean there are no problems, however... And like I said above, there's no real rush to make these changes. It has limped along in the current state for quite a while, and can undoubtedly do so a while longer.
  4. Mostly trolling, I think. And contrarian for the lulz, I guess? I mean... Sfar is a wildly popular artist/creator, winning awards for his drawings & paintings, for his films... The man is clearly a genius, but <shrug> not every genius' work is to everyones' taste, eh? (sorry, Barbarian, don't mean to step on your toes there). Plenty of "great art" I don't care to look at the, "great literature" that I can't stand to read, etc. I mean... I've met people who don't like chocolate, for ArachneSolara's sake! I'm not even certain they're the same species that I am...

  6. Eh. No rush, IMHO. Better to let more brains mull the issue, for more days. See if a better solution occurs. See if someone finds a problem, or something overlooked, so it can be done once, right. Also, it occurs to me that -- if the Mods approve -- a bunch of the gruntwork can be done by an ordinary fan, and then the mods can just come change the Pin's...
  7. It's well worth noting that art -- and the goodness or badness thereof -- is a very subjective thing, the definitional instance of "a matter of taste." Whether I like it, or don't; whether you like it, or don't; whether either/both/neither of us agree with the broader viewing (and buying) audience, or the hordes of Critic/Barbarian multiclass'es, or the artists themselves... really has very little bearing on whether it's good, or bad... or badly drawn. 😁 That I like a piece means no more or less than that I like that piece. Or dislike.
  8. So a 3-step process: 1. Create a new Pinned thread (probably Locked mod-only, so random naive commenters don't add distracting extranea). 2. Mods post to the thread, each post is a pointer to an existing Thread. 3. Un-pin the existing per-scenario threads, so new & active stuff filters to the top, but the older/inactive archival stuff drifts down. Does that seem correct? Any "unanticipated consequences" that anyone sees?
  9. Jeff is involved in that, too. If either Jeff or Kalin are too busy with paying projects -- or have any other distractions -- then the series languishes. I believe things have been distracting for a while, now... but I do think they plan to finish(?) !
  10. It looks... pretty likely, at this point? I mean, you have GRRM (GoT guy, most popular TV show in the world) who did a massive sprawling MCU-style superhero'verse (biggest movie franchise in the world), and you ... slow-track your option to produce that ??!? I had previously thought Hollywood LIKED profitable shows...
  11. Geeeez. You not ONLY want the guy to do a comic for you, you ALSO want him to Orlanth you a LBQ to bring you back from the dead!!?! 🤡 Personally, I find a substantive change in art styles to be a problem for this sort of thing, really disrupts my connection to the work. I've no argument with a Gloranthan comic from him, but I'd rather see him engage with some other story... FrEx, the original Orlanth/Yelm conflict, the Darkness, and the LBQ... The Seven Mothers and rebirth of the Moon... Or even his own original story, a classic "Band Of Adventurers (a la Sfar)."
  12. Of course, that document may have been heavily revised since... or even completely superceded...
  13. There's a thing where supplements create "buzz" and interest. People read reviews, people see recruitments online or in FLGS's / etc... If you've got a regular group (congratulations!) and say to them, "I want to run <Older Game X>," your friends are likely to say "sure!" Matters may differ for others not so blessed...
  14. Hmmmmm. "A certain barbarian" is seeming awfully well-socialized and law-abiding and... well... civilized these days. Welcome to BRPCentral, in any case! 👍 But I'm having a hard time reconciling this... with this... I experience cats as being very rules-lawyer-y, with rules like "I'ma sleep here now" & "oooo! critical NPC/map/whatever... excellent for kneading/shredding!" & "now we are playing MY game, and MY game is run all over the house hunting imaginary pixies & causing mayhem"
  15. Although it's also worth noting that while some of those are just line-items, some are substantive threads in their own right. If there's substantial advice & commentary on a scenario, I think there's a LOT of benefit it keeping that info collected with that scenario. Not disagreeing with you -- that a top-page full of pinned items is a problem -- but I'd hate to lose something else worthwhile, in the process of solving that one...
  16. +1 ! Ummm... make that "+2" and add a RuneQuest logo! 😁
  17. Glorantha Wiki says (citing GtG & (via link) Glorantha.com) they're the same: https://glorantha.fandom.com/wiki/Rathor
  18. I believe there is active (albeit slow) conversation happening with Mr.Moorcock & one or more RPG companies; at least, that's what I heard a couple of years ago. But yeah: without his permission, it's a strict no-go ... "for archival purposes" being a thinly-veiled e-jolly-roger these days.
  19. This forum is brand new for Chaosium. I doubt many of the 7ths Sea players even know it exists.

    New Rune Spell

This is a revision you're making to the RQG core rulebook? I had understood Rune magic was a direct God:Worshipper thing, not "learned" or "taught" mortal-to-mortal. Spirit Magic is taught by mortals (or spirits, of course), and often on a paid or done-for-favors basis.
  21. There is indeed a Blog function right here onsite. I don't have one running, but several folks do. If you plan lots of maps/art/etc (i.e. high storage need, as opposed to mostly text) you might consult @Trifletraxor as to the limits...
