(or naybe I will have to invent one) Man, I know SO little about the water part of Gloranthan myth...

I think the chief of a clan has to be the wyter priest, but I might be mistaken there. Reading up on wyters, It says in the book that "these magical entities have become wyters through heroquests that bind the community together" Would the actions of the PC's so far qualify? that is, performing "I fought WE won" and giving the salmonstone to Nilusa. And if so, would that make the PC who gave Nilusa the stone the wyter priest (and thus probably chief of the new clan?)

I summon the BRP forum think-tank! DO not read further if you want to go into the LOST VALLEY scenario with virgin eyes. [spoiler] In my current game I am running the players through the Lost Valley scenario and they have successfully performed a the heroquest "I fought WE won" to unite all the people of the valley against the company of the manticore. They also brought the magic stones with them and in negotiating with Nilusa, the spirit of the river, for passage across th e water with half their army they gave her the salmon stone and said they wanted her to be the wyter of the clan (as they are set on making the locals form a clan). As of now, she has not answered but did split the water for them (Moses style) and reluctanrly didnt drown the PC who stupidly went into the water to negotiate with her. So what I am wondering is this: Would she work as a wyter? is this a desireable thing for a spirit? would the people accept this you think? what is required for someone to be her priest? do you think any of the npcs are a good candidate? any other thougts? I also expect that a shrine will have to be erected, probably with the salmon stone as a center piece. [/spoiler]

Cant remember where I read it but there is some story where he throws his...stick...at some goddess and then have to accompany orlanth (i think) to the underworld to steal some treasure before he can pick up his stick. And these treasures are guarded by a demoness with vagina dentata whose favorite tactic is biting off...sticks... Naturally she captures Eurmal but finds that she cant really punish him.

I like the one where Eurmal cheers her up with wine. They got a a weirdly amiable relationship.

I just remembered the pc game KING OF DRAGON PASS you could learn "fighting without fighting" in tje CA heroquest and seem to remember it being very kung-fu but I could be misremembering. Anyhow, wrestling someone into submission is very pacifistic!

In an upcoming adventure with my players someone have burned down a barn with a child inside. Any attempts to use spirits will be blocked by a powerful raven spirit that has been set to obfuscate the truth. of course, if they find the shaman who summoned that spirit...

Hopefully we get an actualplay podcast too in the future

when a lunar slave caravan is ambushed by barbarians a washed up con man(played by Nicolas Cage) rescues a few children and wisk them away from the danger. now, to feed and clothe them, he starts tutoring them as a troupe of performers/low tier criminals. but that was long ago. now the children are very nearly adults and the old scammer is feeling the end approaching. How will this group of misfits survive in the world now? will they find their place?
