I'd like to thank all the artists and proofreaders, and Nick Brooke, for their many contributions towards the success of this book. Its voyage to far distant shores has now returned with a cargo of gold!

Personally, I feel this really looks best as a big solid book (too big, too solid!), as it presents the art in the best possible way, so Nick's efforts are very much appreciated.ย

This was the culmination of several years of work - ancient ships and seafaring have always fascinated me, but there's far more here than ships or seafaring, as it let me tread the ways of many different lands and cities, and sail across strange seas.ย

It is very much a homage to the journeys of Biturian Varosh and Norayeep, as there's a difference between writing about ๐‘ ๐‘œ๐‘š๐‘’๐‘กโ„Ž๐‘–๐‘›๐‘”, and writing about characters experiencing ๐™จ๐™ค๐™ข๐™š๐™ฉ๐™๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ. There's dryly writing about a place or an event, and seeing it through the eyes of the narrator of the Periplus. So thank you also to Michael O'Brien and Chaosium for letting me do this.

Ii am just lying here reading through my hard copy of Ships and Shores, enjoying the prose more than gathering scenario ideas.ย

Hopefully I will be able to do so soon, but my copy seems to be meandering from port to port (including at least one return to port) in the vast "sea" of the USPS. Perhaps the Dormal rites were not properly conducted?

Alas, I can only recommend you make offerings to Issaries, unless your copy is indeed being carried by ship. Some caravan masters take their ownย idiosyncratic routes.
