rust Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 From March 30 to April 15 I will be on the Canary Islands, reading my BRP copy and taking a very close look at a real sea, so please forgive me for neither answering PMs nor writing silly comments during this time. Shaira Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 Warm sun? Beautiful scenery? Crystal clear seas? Outrageous! Have a good time, rust. We'll expect a full report of how well BRP reads on the beach when you get back! rust Posted March 29, 2008 Author Posted March 29, 2008 Thank you all very much ! @ Shaira: I will try to return with a study of the beach-suitability of Edition Zero. @ Puck: Yep, I should have tried to get some kind of research grant. Alas, it is al- ways the unknown and underfunded volunteer who has to do the really hard research jobs ... Quote "Mind like parachute, function only when open." (Charlie Chan)
Merak Gren Posted March 30, 2008 Posted March 30, 2008 Remember the safety rules on the beach. 1. Wear sunglasses: the white pages can be blinding in the sun. 2. No sun cream. It'll stain the pages. 3. Stay away from the sea or the book will never be the same again. 4. Keep sand away from the binding, or you'll never be able to get it out again. 5. If possible, stay in a cool dry dark room, for full enjoyment. Quote Likes to sneak around 115/420

rust Posted September 24, 2008 Author Posted September 24, 2008 Rust is off again, this time to Bulgaria, to find out whether the Black Sea is still black. Unfortunately my computer broke down two days ago, and I cannot have it repaired before the trip to Bulgaria, which means I will be offline until at least the middle of October. So, if I do not react to any post directed at me, the reason is a lack of in- ternet access, not a lack of interest. Until then, then ... Quote "Mind like parachute, function only when open." GerallKahla Posted September 24, 2008 Posted September 24, 2008 Be safe! And best of luck with the computer repairs - here's to hoping it was just exhausted from your intense setting-development! Quote Emerging from my Dark Age...
rust Posted October 22, 2008 Author Posted October 22, 2008 Hello, rust is online again - my computer has a new mainboard, and once I have managed to re-install all the programs and data that got lost in the crash, I will be happy to take a look at all the fascinating posts that I have mis- sed during my absence. Nice to be back again ! Quote "Mind like parachute, function only when open." (Charlie Chan)
