CJ Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 Hiya I.just noticed in the Thunder Hills scenario in the GM pack Queen Leika is sitting on the Ivory Throne the Colymar took when they sacked Bagnot in 1440. However according to Dragon Pass Gazeteer of Kerofinela the throne was restored to Tarsh and placed in Bagnot in 1602, causing the walls to magicly rebuild themselves So how did the Colymar get it back by 1625? Is this addressed anywhere? CJ x Quote

The Throne was mentioned as being in Clearwine in Sartar: Kingdom of Heroes p300 and p314 so it's more likely that the Tarshites never retrieved the Ivory Throne. Quote

Or a clever fake was foisted on them by the Colymar while the real thing was hidden away... (Just throwing out a story hook). Of course, no walls would rebuild under those conditions... Quote
Joerg Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 1440 is the year Yanasdros died and Orios took the crown for eight years. We don't hear anything about Yarandros' death, but after 45 years of rule (even after his father retired early) he must have been about 70 years when he died. Still the timing and the cause of his death in relation to the Colymar/Praxian raid would be interesting. Intagarn became king in 1440, so gaining the throne probably was his crown test. David Scott Posted October 7, 2018 Posted October 7, 2018 In @Jeff's Orlmath campaign (Orlmarth Saga 2007 a campaign log): Quote Kangharl received the Orlmarthing delegation on a reproduction of the Ivory Throne (the Tarshites had demanded the original as part of the tribute following Starbrow’s Rebellion). Quote The Black Spear of the Colymar is part of the tribal regalia of the Colymar kings (along with the Ivory Throne). I would also suggest that the Ivory Throne is a HeroQuest object and so you could go and get another, perhaps with lesser powers. CJ Posted October 7, 2018 Author Posted October 7, 2018 It's listed as one of the Eight Treasures of Saird given c.1640 as a present to Argrath and the Feathered Horse Queen so I suspect the Bagnot original was restored to Tarsh after the conquest of Sartar and the Colymar did indeed create a replacement and probably HeroQuest to instil it with power. There was a major defeat for Argrath's forces combined with a temporary occupation of Sartar in the meantime. Quote Telling how it is excessive verbis
