As we announced in August, Chaosium is working with our friends Nocturnal Media in the release and distribution of Greg Stafford's King Arthur Pendragon and related products.

Today, we officially announce their initial release on Chaosium.com.The following products are now available in hardback and PDF: KING ARTHUR PENDRAGON, PRINCE VALIANT. PALADIN is also available in PDF, hardback in early 2019.

As with all Chaosium new releases, buy the PDF now, and you will receive a coupon for the full price of the PDF off the physical version when released.

We are also offering CLASSIC PENDRAGON, the full array titles from KAP 1-4 editions in PDF.

EDIT: Question. Don't see 3e (though KA is there), 4e, or any of the cultural supplements. I know they are available on DriveThru. Is there something else afoot, or are they simply not ready for the site yet?

Are the pre version 5 PDFs "remastered" or same as the ones from DRiveThru ?

Yes and no 🙂 These are based on exactly the same scans, but are being tidied where possible, bookmarked, missing pages added and where possible maps replaced with stitched ones. These will eventually replace those on drivethru.

Most of these products are from a time of cut and paste and have no digital masters.

That's nice, although probably a bit of overkill for some things. I doubt that there are many people still running KAP1. I think most people run KAP5+, and some run KAP3/4. It's still good that everything will be eventually updated universally. Maybe some sort of version number might help to identify which is which?

Yeah, some might have even been written on typewriters, or were done on word processors or using computer document and desktop publishing software in formats that aren't compatible with modern machines.

Sorry Scotty, let me clarify. What I meant was a code for the updates,  similar to how KAP5 has 5, 5.1 and 5.2. For instance a pre-update King Arthur Pendragon First Edition ( KAP1) vs. a post update KAP1. Both would be KAP1, but noting the differences would let people know which PDF they were getting.

There weren't any updates as far as I can see. The KAP1 had only an unboxed edition for Gencon and a complete boxed set. It's very straight forward, go and look at drivethru.

LOL! I've got another thread for that. I had ran into some sort of update/change but have no idea what it was. I thought it was KAP2, but apparently KAP2 never happened so I must have encounter KAP1+ or had a master forger in my Pendragon group.

 

What I meant was some way to distinquish between the updated scans on Chasoium's site and the older scans on Drivethru. Sorry I wasn't clear on that.

If you've purchased through Drivethru, you'll get the usual product update email when your pdfs are updated. Until then the chaosium site pdfs will be the neater..

Thanks. I don't get PDF update emails. I suppose there's a setting for that somewhere. But even so, have a version number would help when buying stuff you don't already have, and probably lead to more sales.

Well, yes.

The assumption was that the list Scotty posted was related to the titles that we will see upcoming on Chaosium's site, as opposed to simply titles with Chaosium product numbers.
