  1. Thank you. This is helpful and inspires me to get off my duff and do more writing. Almost all those things were items I originally intended to get back to. Some were things I would have put in the original, but space and time kind of squeezed them out. Right now I am working on an extensive sand-box style adventure. I have tried to write smaller adventures, but they did not seem to mesh very well. Adventure writing is much harder for me. Hopefully when and if I get this done I will switch to more background and world building stuff you mentioned. It is much more satisfying. I think what happened with the map issue is that I saved the map in a weird format and did not convert it to Jpg when I sent it to Chaosium. I sent the Green to them by chapter with the map file as a separate file at the end. I originally thought that they would do more editing. They may have released the initial PDF without a map. I think the dead-tree books and the present PDF have the proper maps.
  2. Thanks. That does help. I also often wonder about hit locations and whether I should include them. I know I use them and like it when they are included, but it is a bit of a pain to include them and it takes up space.
  3. That is strange. I should be able to send you the map with no problem. Just Pm me your e-mail and I will send a file. and This is exactly the type of thing I had in mind when I wrote it... Kind of a mutable setting that could be adjusted to fit into other game worlds. The problem is that When I try to write additional stuff for it and add people from the outside world it is hard to figure out what to do.. especially with magic.
  4. Thanks. I had kind of lost my motivation for a few months. Just recently I started working on the supplement again. I am not sure when or ever it will get done but your vote of confidence really helps and makes me think it may be worthwhile.
  5. The word "Concept" has been used several times in the thread to describe this. What about "Concepts"?
  6. Thanks Nick! I have only glanced at a few articles, but so far there is a lot of great stuff. I love reading through this kind of thing. Your work is appreciated.

    RQ II Vikings

I received a copy of Vikings this weekend and I am just beginning to dig into it. I am certainly not disappointed. The reading so far has got me digging through Project Gutenberg to find some good sagas to download.
  8. Whoahh. Both bits of art really make this setting look cool. I am chomping at the bit.
  9. It is a lot of work and it can be very frustrating ( I threw down the Green numerous time and gave up). It certainly is not worth the money. On the other hand the process is an adventure in itself and can be a lot of fun. Also, you will learn a lot from it. My advice would be to go for it, but like any hobby, make sure you are having fun along the way. I believe the Sci-fi/Space possibilities for BRP are still pretty open. I personally would love to see futuristic vehicle rules for BRP; spaceships, landing craft, and grav-tanks. Although with the use of stargates this doesn't sound where you are going. P.S. I believe that if you take on a future world monograph it would make Mr. Rust very happy.
  10. I just put some more Gloranthan minis up. I tried to put together some Dragon newts and scorpion men.
  11. 570 downloads

Dragon Newts, Elves, Scorpion Men and other goodies
  12. Your welcome. They were a lot of fun to make. I hope you enjoy them.
  13. These look very cool, but since I cannot read Italian or French I am out of luck. I had no idea that these existed though. That is where it would be nice to have some sort of historical catalog of what is available.
  14. It may be helpful to have a list somewhere on this site of all the different historical eras and regions that have been covered by BRP and its related games (as well as the related links). There is a lot a good stuff that does not get enough advertisement. This could help out not only people looking for setting material, but also publishers and writers. Three settings that seem to me to be conspicuously absent are Heroic Greece, Ancient Mesopotamia, and Egypt.
  15. Thanks. I hope you enjoy them. The more I tried to do this, the more I lost detail, so what I finally compromised on was something in between the right color and the right detail.
  16. I just added Trolls and Morokanth to the Classic Runequest Page. These are not fantastic ( I did a lot of chopping painting over and scupting work), but I think they will work pretty well as little markers. I also added outworlders to the Green selections.
  17. 525 downloads

Here is an attempt at making Troll and Morokanth cutouts for old school Glorantha
  18. I do not know if I am quite ready for that yet, but maybe in the future. I am working on some Gloranthan trolls right now, but a series of heroes inspired by Greek myths might be fun to do next. Mesopotamian stuff would be fun but could prove difficult do to my lack of props from that era. I will certainly look into it though.
  19. Under the Generic Fantasy thread. I posted the Green stuff there and then was not sure where to put the undead thing as it is really more generic than Glorantha specific.
  20. Just uploaded some Undead.
  21. I will add them to the list. I do not have Pavis Rises yet but I am pretty sure I will have to pick it up before to long. I think there were some guys that would work as Praxian nomads on the first card. Those are pretty easy to do as Many of the pictures I took for the Green could easily be ported over. God Learners should be pretty easy. Wyrmish stuff could prove pretty Challenging, but could be fun. Trolls (with snouts) are proving pretty difficult so I think I am going to take on the Uz next. As I am finishing the undead sheet, I realize that I should probably place less figures on each sheet. That way I can get a greater spread of minis off and it would be a little less tedious. Thanks for the info The VTTs are sounding better all the time.
  22. Well I uploaded the cutouts for the Green ( the ones that have backs on them) and I am about halfway done with the undead sheet. I have a couple of Dark Trolls (with longer snouts) but these are harder to do unless they are in profile. Hopefully I can finish the sheet and post it today. I am interested to know how chits are used for this. I do not really know very little about this. Can figures be moved around on a virtual map? If so I need to look more into it.
  23. I am working on Undead and Trolls with longer snouts (harder than I thought). I should be able to do some sci fi stuff pretty easy, but it will take a some time. I not sure what VTTs are.??? I can arrange front and rear versions, but the back is just silhouette. I have done a number of these for the Green and never posted them. I will upload them presently. They should be useful for general fantasy as well. After using the stand up cutouts I found that the chits are easier and less trouble in play though. When I get some more time I can arrange the Gloranthan one to have backs.
  24. Gorps are no problem at all. Undead ? Zombies should be pretty easy. Skeletons may be a bit of a trick as I usually start by taking a picture and then morphing it. I am not sure what you mean by classic-classy... Just more trolls with armor?.... trollkin? Vingans? (I had to look this up).. they may be a little harder..right now.. but not impossible. Undead sounds like the way to go for now and probably the most generally useful and could be a lot of fun.
