  1. So far I've included these 3 (although they stand there on the fringe) and Légendes (amazing that they did an Egyptian supplement!). I'm curious to know if, as a publisher of a D100 game system, you agree with those minimum criteria or if you would add any.
  2. In the end I ran The Quest for El Dorado. You are right, it's more challeging for a newbie Revolutiond100 GM, but I wanted to showcase the different ways to resolve conflicts and combats. We had a blast. 😋 I didn't have the time to get to the end though, so I had to rush over some encounters to get to the final goal. The players seemd to enjoy the adventure a lot. However, I found having the soldier NPCs to control caused a bit of confusion. I learnt a lot about the rules by playing them and next time it will all run way smoothier. Here's a chronicle of the event where I ran the scenario, the part about Revd100 is at the end: (it's in Spanish, but you can use the translation gadget on the right, as always!) https://elruneblog.blogspot.com/2018/08/el-dia-de-las-runas-primeras-jornadas.html
  3. Oh, and I'll have a lookt at Pax Draconis and Fire & Sword, thanks a lot for mentioning those! Rêve du Dragon as well!
  4. Your idea of categorising different groups of D100 systems is cool. However I see the 4 categories you have me tioned as very easy to use with one another, meaning: for example, that I can play any RQ scenario with the Elric rules without any effort. If I know what kind of armour an NPC in a scenario is wearing, I can just roll the dice Elric assigns to that instead of substracting the specified armour points from the rolled damage. So I would consider all those games under the same category, really. Now what Rulesets really deviate from those while still qualifying as Roll under D100 according to the criteria I suggested? 😉
  5. I'd like to read all those
  6. Could you elaborate on why would you include Kult but not Rolemaster? I've played the latter, but not the former.
  7. In my thinking of whether to include some suggestions or not, a set of basic criteria for what constitutes a "good degree of compatibility between D100 systems" is in order: List of skills Percentile skills you have to roll under to succeed. You usually roll with a D100, but D20 is OK because you get skill in % if you multiply those skills by 5 (as in Pendragon). Attributes like Strength, Intelligence, etc. (the list may vary a lot from one game to another) Hit points Do you agree?
  8. OK, I've been looking into HârnMaster and Warhammer Roleplay, and they're on the list now! In my opinion, they are similar enough to BRP that you could take f. ex. any RuneQuest supplement and play it with Warhammer or HarnMaster pretty much straight away (and viceversa, of course)! I'm looking into other games now like Twilight 2000 (1st ed.), Kult and Mutant Chronicles. I've learnt these last two were based on Drakar och Demoner. On the other hand, I may still erase The Trudvang Chronicles. What do you think?
  9. Well, I've added the DwD Studios titles like Barebones Fantasy and Covert Ops, and some more settings from an old Spanish publishing company. Good question. I think it does up to the second edition, since you have stats like STR (Body), INT (Mind), POD (Soul), and skills and D100 rolls with very interesting tweaks. I'm not sure about the new 3rd edition, though. Has anyone played/run/read it already?
  10. Thanks a lot everyone for your contributions / corrections. I have added and corrected everything that I've read here so far. I have also added an asterisk at the end of the entries that are no longer in print (AFAIK). I'm sure the list is far from complete though, so if you're interested I might post here when new entries are added. As for this... What do you say? I've never played the Warhammer RPG so how compatible is it with, say, OpenQuest? What was the basic roll like in those editions? I also still have doubts regarding The Trudvang Chronicles.
  11. Thank you, Questbird, I've added it to the list. :-) Perhaps I'll mark wich ones are currently unavailable with an asterisk.
  12. In an effort to publicise a bit more all the D100 goodness out there, I published this post in my blog: The big list of published settings for the D100 family of RPGs The original list was done by André Jarosch, who published it on Facebook last March, but I'm adding and substracting many titles. Is there anything missing? Any setting is OK, as long as it is quite D100-compatible. For example, I erased Mythic Russia from the original list. I've read it's fairly easy to adapt to BRP, but HeroQuest is quite a different game even if you need to roll low with a D20 like in Pendragon. What about Trudvang Chronicles? Do you consider it should be in or out? Any D100-compatible publication that includes at least some information about its setting is OK. For example, a D100-compatible adventure describing only a dungeon would not qualify, even if it includes information about the story of the dungeon. It should also include the means to build a character from that setting. As you can see, I've added all the settings from publications available in Spain, so I'd be interested in knowing what publications in other countries have D100-compatible settings.
  13. I really hope so. A never before looted dungeon filled with secrets from the 2nd Age and ruled by one of the 17 enemies of Waha wouldn't hurt either. ;-)
  14. Easy solution: buy 2 sets! 😝 As for me, I love tens dices. They make it easier for everyone to know if a roll is a 91 or a 19. 😁
  15. That sounds really good. Where can you get the Gen Con scenario?
  16. If you need to convince anyone to buy this book, you can send them to this review. ;-)
  17. Hi, I'll be be running my first Rd100 game soon, and I wonder which scenario is best, The Quest for El Dorado or The Conspiracy Theory? It will be a session of about 4 hours. If you have run either of those, is there anything I should be careful about while running them? Any advice is really welcome!
  18. I think this episode of Gregging is fascinating and I'm loving reading all the discussion. As for references, these are always handy: Greg Stafford, 1993: http://www.glorantha.com/docs/the-birth-of-elmal/ Nick Brooke: http://etyries.albionsoft.com/etyries.com/journeys/elmal.html By the way, I played the Elmal guards the Sunpath ritual in the Six Ages videogame... and it was cool to see Elmal talk with Little Yelm, and then face the Cold Sun in the ritual. Are Little Yelm and the Cold Sun different names for Yelmalio or is Little Yelm the emperor Murharzam?
  19. Thanks for these previews. I love that you can only attune one crystal at a time and that it takes a week to do so. I hope this means we won't be seeing RQ adventurers loaded up with 50 different magic items they can use. Although I know there are other magic items that don't require attunement, the fact they don't work once the owner dies is a good thing IMHO.
  20. A reprint of The Widow's Tale would be cool. But IMHO it would be even better to see new novels like that one or even books of short stories. Do you accept short stories?
  21. I'm loving it too! I love that it's focused on a different culture, although there are also some Orlanthis as well, so it's really cool to see them from a whole new perspective. The fact that it's set in the Storm Age also makes it very refreshing! Read the first adventures of my Hyaloring clan here!
  22. This d20 looks awesome! Will they produce other dice as well?
  23. I'd like it if physical attacks to spirits were capped in some way. For example, you can attack a wraith with your Bladesharped sword, but your Attack skill is capped by your POWx5 or something like that. When the wraith attacks, you can only defend with your Spirit Combat skill.
  24. I'm delighted to hear this and I'm already spreading the word in my blog! :-D
