I think I saw mention to that interview on the Yog-Sothoth forum.

Releasing October: Mythology book for the Cults of RuneQuest series
Runeblogger replied to MOB's topic in RuneQuest
Looks awesone!!! π€© Could we have a look at the full illustration (without the title) pretty please? -
Remember that the second Dodge attempt for the tusks will be done with a -20% so it becomes rather risky anyway. But bull-fighting people do it even nowadays. For bigger creatures, I would require a Jump roll to get out of the way and end up prone.

Does the PC have to continue to "control" an animal ally or elemental?
Runeblogger replied to SunKing's topic in RuneQuest
As for animal allies, they would act as their nature dictates. Only Nathem's shadowcat seems to be somewhat trained to follow Nathem's commands (to the extent to which anyone can give orders to a cat!), or be in some way loyal to him. Makario's snake and Cousin Monkey are fully intelligent beings, so they are like another non-player character. So for example, in combat Nathem could shout a command to his shadowcat to attack someone. You could rule the shadowcat then attacks on its Strike Rank +1 for the order. As for elementals and spirits, you need to cast a Control Cult Spirit or Control Elemental on them after summoning them in order to control them, and hope to overcome their POW so they are affected by the Control spell. Otherwise, they do what their nature dictates or maybe just go back to the spirit plane, as dictated by the MGF principle. -
I haven't run it yet, but I think it is a fairly good scenario. Check out my review here: https://elruneblog.blogspot.com/2023/05/the-white-upon-hills-scenario-for.html Have you run it? How did it go?

Where does the tribal king live?
-
I guess the Grazelands must be very similar to Prax, in the sense that the different Praxian tribes just go around and stay at the oasis or Zola Fel river valley as long as they can defend themselves from other tribes. And the vendref are like the Oasis Folk, who work for whatever Praxian/Grazelander clan is βin townβ this season.

The art to which you refer on Jeffβs video about RQ combat had appeared already on some other video or post from last year. I think it is for the RuneQuest campaign book, and the art must be by Lionel Marty. (^_^) I love it!

Yes, that's easy enough. I'm considering adopting the slashing weapons bleed effect.

I know, it sounds like a rock band. π Iβm devising a scenario about Orlanthi who need to go into Telmori lands. The Six Sisters are hills between Prax and the Telmori lands where six different animal spirits can be contacted by shamans. According to the article in Wyrms Footnotes #15 one of them is a female wolf spirit. All seem to have been awakened centuries ago by the EWF. What relationship do you think there is between that big wolf spirit and Telmor, the wolf god? Do you think any Telmori shamans negotiate with her? In my scenario, she might be the source of the Control Wolf Spirit spirit spell, if you first pass some spiritual test. πΊ

Aside from enjoying the con, did you get any news about upcoming Chaosium products? π

A Sharp have shared the trailer of their new videogame, which they have announced will be available this summer. I'm pretty hyped right now. I can't wait to play it.

Seven Mothers Initiates in the Alda-Chur confederation
Runeblogger replied to DrGoth's topic in Glorantha
That's also what many samurai clans did during the Sengoku period, when caught between two powerful warlords. Half of the clan devoted themselves to one warlord, half to the other, so the clan would go on whoever won the war. It must have happened in other parts of the world as well. -
Hi, here's a review of this D100 scenario by the author of Vaesen and Tales from the Loop: ππ https://elruneblog.blogspot.com/2023/04/review-of-red-star-scenario-for-odd-soot.html

Why does Argrath wipe out the Telmori?
Runeblogger replied to Rodney Dangerduck's topic in Glorantha
As I understand it, a Telmori humakti is an initiate of both Telmor and Humakt, and only her initiation into Telmor (which comes first) is what carries the curse. If you are not initiated into the cult of Telmor, you are not a Telmori. -
Why does Argrath wipe out the Telmori?

Thank you! So uninitiated Telmori children do not turn into wolves on Wilddays. -
Why does Argrath wipe out the Telmori?
Runeblogger replied to Rodney Dangerduck's topic in Glorantha
This is becoming an interesting thread and I'm getting ideas for a possible scenario. But I have to ask: when a Telmori and another human have a child, is the child always a cursed Telmori? Only when the mother is a Telmori? -
BTW, there's a "Let's read" thread on Hero Wars over at RPG.net, with people discussing some details about QuestWorlds.

I think this picture is from one of the two scenario packs published so far by Chaosium: The Starter Set is also full with pictures of NPCs and streets of Jonstown, which help visualize the typical Sartarite urban environment.
