  1. I am not a big Resident Evil fan, but this might change my mind, lol. Thank you.
  2. It is from Warren Zevon, a musician, He worte several interesting pieces. Werewolves of London, Excitable Boy. I tied these pieces together for a weird campaign.
  3. Yeah, I have the Old BRP stuff, and I tend to agree. Maybe after combat using a system to obtain points to change or increase the abilities. Maybe using the "tick" system of the old RQ. One thing I liked from the old Jade Cocoon game ( my kids and I played we loved it lol) Was the Mixing and matching of powers and critters. Maybe using something based on the traditional elements, wind, water, fire and earth. The summoning would be assisted by a device, like the pokeballs.
  4. I used to Run a Horror Campaign using the CoC rules. The MYTHOS was kept far in the rear, hidden. But there is enough Horror Literature that if played well enough can stand up just as well. ( I am still looking for the write ups but will present We stated out the Monster a couple Different ways. Here is The "Adam" of Victor's efforts. Adam, The Frankenstein Monster STR 21 His strength not only came from the men used but the Pirmal Fire CON 20 SIZ 22, the bigger the man the easier, at the time of Victor, to put Him together INT 17 (7 when he is a little slow) Adam was a smart man, but we had him degenerate at times. POW 16 Born of Lightening , the fires burned deep and Bright DEX 7 Frakenstein had armor of 4, based on his makeup, and regeneration 3 per round, Unless the body is totally destroyed he will regenerate, this also allowed him to take damage and keep going. APP 7 His skills, Climb 70%, Hide 80%, Insight 45%, Stealth 85%, Persuade 45%, Knowledge (Philosophy) 65%, Brawl 55%, Etiquette 75%, Swim 65% I ran a campaign based on Wareen Zevon's material, to a bunch that never heard the man. It was a great, because I played the music low in the background. No one asked, and it was kinda like a movie soundtrack for me, LOL Roland, The Headless Thompson Gunner Str15 Con15 Siz9 INT 14 POW 12 DEX14 Firearm (Thompson gun) 75% There are two ways to use this, the first if Roland has access to ammo, he will use this. The next is that per point of Pow is a "clip" of ammo. If Roland goes under the POW he disappears. (He regenrates 1 Pow a day, till he returns.) Track 85%, Spot 55%, Brawl 65%, Martial arts 45%, Hide 80%, Craft ( bullets), Melee weapon (machete) 65% Block 25%, Knife Melee 55%, Thrown 35% Roland is a Revenant, a revolutionary spirit, He will fight for Independence causes, and revolutionary goals. And will fight probably against American interests, including Business interests, due to his murder by the CIA. He is "physical" till he looses enough POW, or Hits. But will return with 12 days. Since he is a Physical revenant, he can not appear and disappear, Like a ghost, and travelling aboard aircraft or ships would be difficult. But not impossible. Remember the world of Roland is black and white, being an ex-mercenary, He thinks like he did, unless the dead can learn.
  5. thanks, I did download amd will check it out thanks, am I missing much out of the monograph???
  6. i was under the impression Cthulhu rising was a cost game, I believed you had to pay for the pdf
  7. i believe it was Niall himself that posted it http://www.hoboes.com/pub/Role-Playing/Future/Other%20Suns/
  8. I have had a couple players want to play a game where a character can summon critters ala the above or jade cocoon. using the rules from Superworld, I am thinking to adapt or create critters based on some skill, or even the points of the character, ala Superworld. Any ideas, tips, suggestions?
  9. being kinda foreign, and all a lot of people had problems I didnt, but of course I use everything as a base. I like they system and adapted to my needs. I agree about superworld and think it is a really good system, plays quicker than HERO/CHAMPS, still complex enough for palyers to replicate what they want. My Wife is begging for e Heroes campaign, lol
  10. somewhere on line there is an adaptation or just a doc(?) version of other suns, if it is in the open, what kinda of issue would there be with copyright? Also, are you converting the races to BRP, or moving the system to BRP, of keeping it solid as it is?
  11. I just downloaded a little adaptation of trav, and have somewhere a Trav adaptation from some one else.
  12. BRP and Hero , the two venerable systems. In HERO I havent taken the plunge and gotten 5 yet, still using 4thed. And having no problems. I still fall back to BRP, though.
  13. Ok, Ill Bite, LOL, Like the write up, did a great Job
  14. do you have just the main books? I have copies of the ship yard and ice world flaoting around, also I am slowly workimg of doing a space opera translation , that is, from the original Space Opera Game from the late great Ed Simbalist, LOL
  15. I too have the pdf, anything else ever come out of it? It is an interesting Trans/posthuman setting, and the art is well, stunning
  16. It is probably the best and easiest system I have used in 30 years, I still play the Old Chaosium GAmes, the only thing people need to remember is the lower hit points. The system is intuitive, and a dream to use, add onto, easy for players to understand, and no crazy wargaming rules, I use ranks and other things based on game and need
  17. Green World Bonobo has been updated!
  18. Downloads: A new file has been added by rpgstarwizard: Ufo Files Some stuff I used in an old Paranormal campaign, might be useful
  19. Downloads: A new file has been added by rpgstarwizard: Green World Bonobo This is a world setting I used for starfrontier, notes are kinda loose, but might be usefull. It interested, I will add more later
  20. Somewhere around I have The GW bestiary. There were a couple other things. The Fachan, is the memorable.
  21. I have been gaming since 1980 Walpurgis eve in fact. And have loved it. RQ was my third game after DnD and Traveller. I recieved as a gift from a near stranger, who just tossed the book to me as I was a "college" kid and a gamer. Never saw the guy since. Shortly after I started gaming all sorts of things. And though I preferred BRP types systems. I was stuck GMing other sheeple systems. Over the years, I have run RQ, CoC , Elfquest, Elric, HAwkmoon, and Nephilim. All of which I enjoyed. I have also run odd games, Like Other Suns and other FGU games. My CoC campaign ran about 15 years. I think BRP is the easiest Most adaptable system around. And am Slowly adapting alot of my favorite settings to BRP.
  22. Though I agree with the warning of be careful. It could be very, very fun. I enjoyed Torg alot. And though unweildy at times, with good players it was great. Lended itself to power upping though. The same thing could happen in BRP , but less so. Have fun.
  23. Sorry I couldn't help it. First off I disagree with you about it being well a muddle. After getting a couple degrees in various weird areas. I thought it was ok. The magic system at first was...well an issue. But it was redone. And it was unique as is most BRP games. I watched this Huntik thingy and I agree , it tries to bring the modern myths into it. And makes it a complete mess. As for occult play it was interesting in it's attempt to bring a .."mature" perception to it. In a novel way. Now, if you wanna create a BRP system based on Huntik the GREAT.
  24. Sounds a wee bit like Midworld by Alan Dean Foster, sounds like fun
