  1. Could someone give me an idea of how this compares rules-wise to OpenQuest/Renaissance and Magic World?
  2. Yes, they beat them to it. And I've been reading good things about it from Cthulhu fans. I'll pick up a copy in the near future, but I'm still very much interested in Sixtystone Press' Colonial Lovecraft Country as well!
  3. Setting-wise I prefer the tone of A!C but I like WWC's more focused premise and char gen. I'd have my players make WWC characters and use them in A!C's setting.
  4. Same here, but Renaissance + the two aforementioned scenarios set during the French & Indian War are also extremely useful for this. Renaissance Deluxe The Depths of Winter The Breaking of Spring Also, the Colonial Gothic RPG is definitely your friend when you're looking for source material.
  5. How well would the new DG rules work for the Laundry setting?
  6. It arrived while I was on vacation. Nice after-vacation blues medicine!!
  7. Will this book require both the Renaissance Deluxe rulebook and the Dark Streets book or does just the rulebook suffice?
  8. Mystical Throne Entertainment Licenses Dark Streets for Five Points New York Setting Did you see this? Sounds good!
  9. The problem of the 12ยฐ system isn't that it's particularly complicated or fiddly, but as much as I love Colonial Gothic I have to say they could've done a better job explaining the rules in a more consistent manner, even in the much improved 2nd edition of the rulebook. I agree that Colonial Gothic using the Renaissance rules would be awesome.
  10. Can't wait till I receive my KS copy. Any time now!
  11. Loving my pdf. How's the premium hardcover version of this coming along?
  12. Winds on the Steppes just arrived! I take it this means that Celestial Empire was sent separately?
  13. I really enjoy it! No rushing intended, just out of curiosity, how's the (premium) print version coming along?
  14. Would this be the "Dieselpunk WW1 but with occult aspects" setting you mentioned in
  15. Is anyone familiar with this game from Ganesha Games? Ganesha games rules|french-indian war|song of drums and tomahawks I wonder if it's any use for RPGs set during the French & Indian War, in addition to Cakebread & Walton's own material and Rogue Games' French & Indian War sourcebook for Colonial Gothic.
  16. it would be great if you could help us out and make this effectively Aces High-compatible.
  17. Probably just practical reasons, like a lack of resources or people to get things done on time for the Kickstarter.
  18. The book is out! Pariah Missouri Roleplaying Sourcebook ยท Salazar Entertainment It has stats for Savage Worlds, Fate and Hero but is also generically useable. Now all we need is for someone to do the Call of Cthulhu/BRP: Aces High (or Devil's Gulch?) conversion for us! Mr. Godbalt?
  19. I like BRP well enough, but it sounds like Eden Studios' All Flesh Must Be Eaten RPG can do everything you want straight out of the box, especially if you also pick up the One of the Living supplement. Even if you're intent on sticking to BRP as a rules set One of the Living may be worth picking up for reference as it's really thorough. As for the AFMBE core rulebook, the only difference between first and revised edition is that there's directions for d20 in the back of the latter, so you'll be perfectly fine using an older edition. 20. Confirmed. Received both codes today. Both books look really nice.
  21. Will the PDF of other books ordered also arrive by then?
  22. A kind of French & Indian Wars mini-setting supplement to go with these would be nice! The French & Indian War book for the Colonial Gothic RPG is pretty thorough, so it may be of interest to people planning to run these adventures. Link: Colonial Gothic: The French & Indian War.
