  1. Shouldn’t that be Quack-Fu?
  2. Polaris: "A star shines on the hour of our meeting."
  3. As one review had it: "A comic that reads like a seventies SF epic movie from Czechoslovakia with a budget of billions."
  4. Prince of Sartar pp. 64-66, for the psychedelic version. http://www.princeofsartar.com/comic/64-making-baby-giants/ (The storytelling technique here of giving an infodump to someone who neither needs or wants it is so good!)
  5. Moana is so Gloranthan that it even has its own Closing of the Seas.
  6. I think you should be very liberal with allowing passions in general. I was very happy seeing ”Love Sausages” for a tame Rubble Runner, and I will probably ask my players to make sure that pets, Allied spirits and the like pick up some distinguishing passion.
  7. Storm Bull: ”You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.”
  8. "Inside you are two Captains America..."
  9. I could very easily imagine a situation where a lone hunter or woodsman gets visited by a strange woman for a single night, and years later encounters his offspring. (No "Lay Member" jokes, please.)
  10. I'm getting vibes of Nordic Huldra or Rå (which would essentially map to Nymphs in Glorantha) but less malicious. She turns up in myths a fair amount as the mother of various less-civilized offspring (Odayla, Ormalaya, Ironhoof's son), so perhaps it's not so much that she can't be caught, as that it has to be a proper hunting/courting combination? She also at times seems like a counterpoint to Ernalda, being the wild lands instead of the cultivated ones. Beast absolutely seems right for runes, and I do agree that it's hard to pinpoint her as either theistic or spirit.
  11. We know from the Guide that the Penenethelli worshipped The Lady of the Wild, and that the inhabitants of the modern site of Talada in Aggar still do (and that, presumably, other cult centers might exist in Aggar and Skanthiland). But what would such a cult look like? Theistic or Spirit Cult? What spells might make sense? Wat kind of cult structure? The Guide seems to identify The Lady of the Wild with Orogeria, which would make it a hunting cult, but I'm not completely sure if I like that. I'm thinking more of "primal nature" than "hunting".
  12. Also works for the Cult of Silence.
  13. "We have always been at war with Sartar"?
  14. If you really want a giant robot, maybe something can be woken from the ruins of the Clanking City?
  15. Basically, becoming a black belt - it doesn't mean you're amazing, it just means that you achieved a reasonable standard of competence and can be trusted with some stuff you couldn't before. (Making Nysalorean Illumination the equivalent of McDojos, churning them out as quickly as possible with limited quality control?)
  16. As described in GT, it's a Sky World heroquest that has some similarities to the Sky part of t11L heroquest.
  17. Beyond what’s already been mentioned: The Hydra. ”East Isles Cthulhu” (Giant Walkatapus). Giant gorp, like the one in Slimestone (it has SIZ 10000). So, so many sea monsters (especially check out Strangers in Prax).
  18. This is some Dara Happan myth, then? In the Orlanthi version, the Birth of Umath is the separation of Earth and Sky, though? Of course, Kallyr has every opportunity to pick up on more Sky-centric myths...
  19. ”Umath was a Sky entity” I’m not sure I followed that... wouldn’t he be Air, not Sky?
  20. I agree with this. By the way, have you noticed that Woad has a unique, discriminating Countermagic effect that only stops the bad spells?
  21. There’s this long thread about countering Steal Breath - Berserker is a hard counter... 🙂
