  1. That is why we license other companies to produce our games in their native languages, which include: German, Spanish, French, Swedish, Hungarian, Portuguese, Polish, Italian, Russian, Korean, Chinese, and Japanese. We don't have every one of our games in all of those languages, but our licensed partners certainly have the opportunity to license most, if not all of our games in their local language.
  2. We do not have a license for any of the Stormbringer/Hawkmoon/Eternal Champion material, so there is nothing we can do about those titles. They haven't been sold for years, any way. As for the rest of the Monographs, they actually do have a few possible venues. We have fan licenses available that could be used for a number of those titles. Those licenses are quite simple to set up and comply with. Those products could be sold on DTRPG. The real difficulty is finding and convincing those creatives to go through the process. A number of those authors have largely gone silent though. We don't have the time to track them all down, especially when many of those titles didn't sell that well for a variety of reasons.
  3. There's nothing prohibiting the original authors from publishing their material on the Miskatonic Repository. Many of the monographs could be converted to the required format within a matter of hours, provided you have the required DTP skills. As for POD, that just means reaching a sales volume to qualify. Please note though, that many of the monographs did not sell that well for any number of reasons. We hope the monograph creators publish their works on the MR. Unfortunately, some have been very difficult to contact, and we are not even sure if they are still "in the industry", so to speak.
  4. It's not uncommon at all for businesses to not share contract status or details.
  5. The King Arthur Pendragon 2701-X and Hawkmoon 2106-X boxed sets can be quite collectable. Without pictures of the items, or at least a description of their completeness and condition, it isn't easy to really estimate their value with any precision. Brand new in the shrink-wrap they might be worth $250 or so. Complete and in excellent condition they might be worth $100-$125. Luckily, the "what's in the box" sheet that should still be in the box, will list exactly what all should be in there. If the dice are missing, the value doesn't take too big a hit, but if any books or handouts are missing, those do. Also, split box corners or lots of wear or dishing on the box also greatly affect the value.
  6. Those aren't going to be finished (ready for purchase) this year.
  7. Here's the descriptive text for one of the GW books: 4667 – Monsters, 112 pages, Perrin, GS, Willis, Petersen, James, Henderson, 1987. This “Monster Manual” for RQ3 continues to be a popular reference book for those lucky enough to have a copy. It goes beyond what is found in the Deluxe set by throwing in all the monsters from Monster Coliseum as well. Many of the major monsters also have a fully detailed background containing everything needed for play. The Human section of the book is vastly expanded to include all manner of NPC’s, especially the ones from Monster Coliseum, but it doesn’t end there. There is also an interesting group of human NPC’s that can be thrown in as interesting encounters, including a trade caravan and Earth temple residents. All of the Gloranthan monsters are here in full detail too, including all of the dragonewt background information found in the Glorantha book. Broos, centaurs, ducks, dwarves, elves, halflings (not a good idea), ogres, orcs, and trolls all have information on how to create an adventurer out of someone from that race. Overall the book has a D&D feel which is unmistakable and a little regrettable, but forgivable.
  8. If you buy the MiG3 (out soon) all this info will be at your fingertips.
  9. It's a moving target with so many new ones coming out, but that's a great historic list.
  10. The printer just let us know there has been a shipping delay that means this won't probably be for sale until May.

  12. A number of the RuneQuest articles were non-Gloranthan. Some of them, were meant to be humorous. It's pretty much up to the original authors to decide what they want to do with those. Anything Greg Stafford wrote has almost certainly either been used/repurposed in fairly recent or current publications. Other Gloranthan material covers a fairly wide spectrum. but unless Greg wrote it we probably don't own the rights to do anything with it in terms of reprints and such. There were roughly 40 RQ based or Gloranthan based articles written in total. I think we pretty much can set aside 30 or so of those as covered through updates or straight inclusion, leaving only maybe a dozen of variable worth. Don't get me wrong, there's a trove of great material in those DW issues, and they still make a great read if you can get old of them. I just don't expect there will ever be a "Best of DW" book (we don't have anything like that in the works) or reprints of whole issues. The rights are too scattered to do that.
  13. The thread title doesn't look incorrect to me?
  14. Ian is actually asking for someone proficient with the current RuneQuest Rules, which he is mistakenly calling RQ6 instead of RQG. You can't publish Mythras stuff in the Jonstown Compendium, after all.
  15. I think the Jonstown Compendium is the best place for them.
  16. NOTE: While we are happy to answer most questions, answering "when" questions has proven to be very problematic.
  17. The book is at the printers. Printing is still underway. We will announce more when printing has finished.
  18. The PDFs were never for sale. To sell them now would require a new license from Chaosium Inc.
  19. Can we please just focus on the original questions posted, and not make this about the value of ducks being in, or not in, the game.
  20. There, I've updated my logo. While I don't post on here every day, I skim what's posted most days, and usually respond to requests within 1-2 days, or less.
  21. RPGGeek, part of the BoardGameGeek site is also pretty handy.
  22. I can't speak to what is available for Warhammer, or many other games for that matter, but there are a few websites like the Acaeum and Dragonsfoot, and Stuff of legends (for miniatures) that are great for information. It all depends on what you want to know. As "Mr. Suitcase", I like to think I am unique, but there are a number of other collectors/historians on this forum that know a great deal about Chaosium's products, particularly RQ/Gloranthan ones.
  23. These are by Gene Day's younger brother Daniel Day. I don't recognize either of these pieces.
