Thank you all for your copious and careful feedback.

I've reviewed each and every suggestion for an edit and implemented many of them. When we've assembled a new .pdf we'll make it available immediately, but it might be a short time while we verify and confirm the new version is a good as we can make it.

The calculations for many of the hit points by location on the CREATURE HIT LOCATION TABLE (page 249) seem wrong. And it looks like they were similarly wrong in RQ3.

For example, 10 hit points shows 5 for a 2/5 location. It should be 4.

19 hp shows 9 for a 2/5 location (it should be 8), shows 6 for a 1/4 location (it should be 5).

I went ahead and redid the chart up to the same number of rows as the original chart:

Hit Points by Location page 21 references Hit Location chart on page 128, but it is really on page 126.

Hit Points by Location page 21 never actually says how you round hit points by location. It looks like, per RQ, you always round up, but it should say somewhere. Also, assuming it does always round up, then the value for arms for 17 hp is incorrect. It should be 5 hp for arms at hp 17.

P.10, Steep Three: Age "For every full 10 years added to the rolled starting age, based on the level of the campaign, modify professional skill points by +10 (Normal), +20 (Heroic), +30 (Epic), or +40 (Superhuman) (see Step Seven). MAny fraction of years below 10 does not qualify for this skill bonus. Based on level of campaign, for every year below the minimum age (18) described above, subtract 10 (Normal), 20 (Heroic), 30 (Epic), or 40 skill points (Superhuman) from your character’s professional skill points.

p.15, STEP 3: AGE & EXPERIENCE. As above for normal leve.

p.15, STEP 4: CHARACTERISTIC ROLLS "CHA x 5 for Charm".

P.17, Characteristics "Physical characteristics (STR, CON, SIZ, DEX, and CHA) have a maximum of 21 for humans." Is Charisma a physical characteristics? I suggest you remove the mention to "physical" and "mental" in the next bullet point.

Page 45, Language (various) reads "Other languages can be learned in the home, at school, on the streets, or at school, depending on the culture and upbringing." The second 'at school' is redundant and should either be removed or replaced with something like 'at work'.

Page 259 (nonplayer character sheet), the "MOV" characteristic is a different font than the other characteristics on the page in four different places (middle column near the top, and under followers one, two, and three). I'd suggest making it the same font as the other characteristics listed on the page.

At the bottom of page 181, the Advanced Explosive table note 4 reads "Against an nonliving target..."

Suggested edit: "Against an nonliving target..."

On page 199, the second paragraph of the Nonplayer Characters section reads "Some of the ways you can make your gamemasters more distinctive..."

I believe that the intention is for it to read "Some of the ways you can make your gamemasters nonplayer characters more distinctive..."

12 hours ago, Spartan said:

In the Sorcery section in both the old BGB and the new edition, the initial spells found in the Sorcery section of Magic World are not present. It seems like an omission as it’s an alphabetical thing.

Magic World (2012) came out four years after the Big Gold Book (2008).

Those spells were added to MW later.

On page 23, "Skill category bonuses (option), Continued" frame, "Skill Bonus Table" table: last line readibility could improve a lot with slightly wider columns and "±1% / 1 or 2 point(s)" on one single line.

Also unsure why the table is labeled "Skill Bonus Table" rather than simply "Skill Bonus", as any other table omits the redundancy.

On page 215, right side Inspiration section, Critical Success subsection reads "...for the duration of the task or situation An experience check is gained..."

Suggested edit: "...for the duration of the task or situation. An experience check is gained..."

Page 217, the first paragraph reads "Note that actions must be known to others—Reputation is gained for actions taken in secrecy or obscurity."

Given context, it feels like it should read "Note that actions must be known to others—no Reputation is gained for actions taken in secrecy or obscurity."

On page 45, skill description for Hide, in the paragraph for System Notes, the fourth sentence reads:

Someone hiding should keep as still as possible; moving while using Hide Difficult, and moving more than a meter in a combat round requires both Hide and Stealth rolls.

I feel the verb in the second part is missing, and the part should read

[…] moving while using Hide is Difficult, […]
