Nel
In GtG p.625 there's a depiction of the Household of an Umathelan Merchant-Captain. His wife, described as a Kormarkan noblewoman, wears a headdress already used by Iberian women 2,000 years ago, as the one from this stone bust: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lady_of_Elche But instead of drawings and pictures of old sculptures, I have also found pictures of real women incarnating that old goddess.

Darius West
It makes you wonder what the headgear originally meant. There are so many possibilities.
Yelm's Light
Twin Wheels of Fortune? I tend to think it was originally a construct made of the woman's hair and beads that got corrupted based on reinterpreting it from a statue. It reminds me quite a bit of Princess Leia's hairdo. And as a total derail, I like the sixth woman down; classic Catalonian features.

I would presume it was actually decor applied to hair -- originally worn in simple spiral braids, then with increasingly-elaborate decor and possible status-signalling. Sean_RDP
Perhaps it meant the woman was a princess or member of the Imperial Senate... Those are gorgeous and elaborate though, very cool.
